HOW TO BE A GOOD FATTY
aka, how to optimize your gains 🙂↕️
learn to love food. it is HARD to gain if there aren’t many things you want to eat; expand your palate! try new things!
along the same line, learn to love eating. sometimes food is better as a textural experience! burger after burger after burger gets boring and you might not want to finish everything. add some chips in there, something crunchy or something sweet, and it’s a new experience that’ll keep you eating!
a diverse range of food in your diet will help your health regardless of if you’re gaining or not btw
don’t force yourself to the point of fullness. eating only one ginormous meal a day because you got insanely full and can’t eat anymore is NOT helping the gain in the way you want. several small meals throughout the day can sometimes help you eat a lot more than you would otherwise!
don’t skip the veggies!! i’m 100% serious. if you have issues with that, find ways to disguise it in food, or pair it with foods that hide the taste/texture/whatever it is you don’t like. peas/green beans are paired with meatloaf/gravy/mashed potatoes because they taste yummy together—find what combos work with you! your digestive system will thank you.
try to get enough fiber every day!!! this is fucking KEY.
weight gain shakes won’t do shit if you’re not eating properly alongside them. eat real food!!! do not rely on shakes!!
boost/premade shakes/wg powders are hot as fuck to think about but can be hurdles in the gain. listen to your body, don’t overdo it, and be aware that when you’re drinking these things regularly, your body will be processing insane amounts of minerals/nutrients and whatnot. these things are not kind to your organs.
comfort is an easy way to gain weight. make things easier on yourself—buy clothes a few sizes up, plan as if you are larger than you are (take into consideration these things when looking at housing, cars, jobs, etc.).
be honest with your friends, tell them when you need a break. good people, people you want to have in your life, will slow down.
do NOT depend on THC/weed/substances to increase your appetite. withdrawal is a bitch and if you have to stop for whatever reason, it will fucking suck and you’ll think you’re dying and you WILL lose a bunch of weight you worked hard at putting on. it can be an aid, sure, but your appetite should be separate
find the situation in which you can happily and mindlessly eat, and utilize that to your full advantage. i, personally, love to have a couple shakes on hand while i’m gaming
it’s OKAY to have food in like every room. it’s OKAY to have a desk fridge, a living room mini fridge, etc. in fact, it’s encouraged! make it easy to get food when you’re feeling lazy!
YOU HAVE TO BE OKAY WITH BEING FAT AND ALONE. you do not need a feeder to be whole. there’s a reason the phrase is “fat and happy” and not “fat and happy and attached”
tight clothes are hot but are not really great to stuff in. it will restrict your belly and sometimes that doesn’t make you feel great when eating.

Im not sure i eat as much fiber as i want, tho beyond that im pretty habby with my diet ^^
I do rlly soon want to find some more clothes in a couple sizes bigger. Its been hard to cus that goes right between the shift from sizes that most stores carry to well ... not, so i need to learn where to go find clothes now :p
Best weight gain experiences, in no particular order
feeling your belly press against your shirt and the hem of your pants after a big meal - more and more as the time passes
bending your leg and feeling the constriction in your pants
pretty much just feeling like your body is inflating at times, pressing against all your clothes, bursting out of them
just going about your day performing tasks and catching yourself on a constant "oof...", "oh god", "huff" etc.
realizing how heavy your breathing is
absent-mindedly putting your hands on your belly like it's a shelf when you sit down
noticing a new unexpected part of your body jiggle as you walk - your cheeks? a new back roll? a love handle?
catching your reflection in a window of a bus / shop and realizing how fat your face actually looks
the constant soft pressure / rub of your double chin as you lower your head; over time you realize you can lower your head less and less
not noticing your softer jawline until you put on a scarf and it squeezes your neck making you realize you do have a double chin now even when you don't lower your head
noticing the creases at the corners of your lips, indicating that your cheeks are getting fuller
the thrill of figuring out how to enlarge your clothes without having to size up just yet, but still knowing that you'll have to size up eventually
putting on a slightly too-small t-shirt and fully realizing everyone will notice your big belly
catching yourself on always choosing the highest caloric options by default the way other people look for the lowest caloric foods - realizing how much you've rewired your brain
the moment you start to take everyday obstacles into account - stairs, narrow chairs, walking a longer distance, etc.
"500 calories? That's merely a snack"
overhearing someone refer to you as big or fat or chubby etc., like it's something that's obvious to everyone, just a part of your identity now
"nah, I'm full enough, I don't need to stuff my face straight before bed" *proceeds to wake up in the middle of the night ravenous and needing to eat* *stuffs face at 3am* *still wakes up at 8am hungry*
basically just waking up hungry no matter how much you ate the previous night
wondering where your natural plateau is now... is it 220? 250? 300? guess we'll find out
