Swapped my usual deep yellow filter for a polarizer as a test. The results surprised me â contrast was still strong, but skin tones looked more natural and even.

Last Halloween, it was 40 degrees, and nothing turned out because my SX-70 film got too cold. This year, it was 72, which amused me more than the trick-or-treatingâI spent most of the night thinking about it before and after I pulled out my camera. The spookiest thing this Halloween wasnât the costumes; it was the reminder of climate change and wondering how long until the next record-breaking storm. One thing I did enjoy, though, was the person in the photo acting as a ghost pirate, stuck in one spot in the neighborhood, marching around with a routine. It was weird but refreshing.

Throwing it back to when I got lucky shooting with @patrickjoust. We came across these guys with matching dirt bikes. The guy to the left were sorta a mediator. Gave us the heads up on where more folks on dirt bikes would be. We followed up on the info. Almost got ran off the road by a group of dirt bikes and ATVs.Â
A favorite memory of mine.
