This Day in Buster… September 2, 1923 The Idaho Statesman reports that Big Joe Roberts had suffered a stroke of apoplexy, meaning a new ‘heavy’ would need to be brought in to reshoot and finish “Our Hospitality.” Joe recovered enough that he insisted on finishing the picture, but very sadly passed away a few months later.
