*Begins dusting off this blog*

I believe a reintroduction is in order.

Originally I'm not sure what exactly I wanted to do with this... But where I am now, I want to just have a place to share my thoughts, and maybe connect with others in the process.

I'm interested in many things, I have thoughts and feelings about those things... And writing has always been my way of expressing them.

So you'll see me talk about a variety of stuff on here: faith, languages, food, hobbies, music, etc. Sometimes it might be a review, other times a simple reflection.

But it will be all me. In my entirety.

You're invited as a guest here, but remember: this is not your house. It's mine. And you are welcome to go right back out the same way you came in.

I'm a believer of simply unfollowing rather than continuing entertaining something (or someone) that drains you or makes you bitter and angry. Life is far too short love.

That said, if my words do happen to give you joy or solace, then I'm grateful. But again, this is just something for me to sit and get my thoughts out so I'm not drowned by them like a tidal wave.

Sometimes it feels surreal. Yet the closer it gets to next December, the more I slowly become eager. #STP365 2022年12月13日「LTS "treat yourself"」ランゲージパートナーが「甘やかす」という言葉を教えてくれました。当時に本当にストレスしていて、しんどかったです。パートナーは「大丈夫ですよ。疲れたら気にしません。自分を甘やかしてくださいね。」と言いました。それから、一生懸命に勉強したりしてから少し休もうにします。 My language partner taught me the word, "甘やかす" (to spoil, pamper). At that time I was super stressed and exhausted. She told me, "It's okay. If you're tired, then don't push yourself. Please treat yourself!" So y'all can see what I went through for that snowflake... 😭 Luckily some nouns can be used as verbs, however, Mandarin has different words for different nuances. @speakingtonguespod #STP365 2022年12月10日「next year I'm ready to...」来年、全力で取り組みます。日本語能力試験のN2のために準備して中国語もスペイン語も上達したりしていきます。だから、真面目でちゃんと勉強して頑張らないといけません。あの事を考えたら実際に緊張になっちゃいますけど、同時にワクワクしています。私にとって来年はすごく大事な年です。でも、楽しみたいです。ストレスしすぎたら、なかなか勉強したくなるのです。 Next year I'm ready to hit the ground running. I'm going to be preparing for the JLPT N2, as well as improving my Mandarin and Spanish. So I'll need to seriously and diligently study, and preserve. When I think about it I get nervous, but at the same time, I'm excited. Next year will be an important year for me. On the other hand, I want to enjoy myself. #STP365 2022年12月7日「give or receive?」昔くれる事より受けた方がいいと思いました。まだ何かを受けると本当に嬉しくなりますけど、今誰かに何かをあげたら、もっと幸せのように感じます。それに、他の人の笑みを見たら心が込んできます。 I used to think that it was better to receive than give. I still get really happy when I get something. However, now when I give someone something, I feel happier.
