A Continued Medical Education program on infectious diseases was held at Sri Rajendra Auditorium JSS Hospital on 1-9-2025. Dr C G Betsurmath Executive secretary of JSSMVP Inaugurated the program and stressed the importance of infection control through prompt recognition and appropriate treatment.He said Covid 19 thought us a lesson on proper planning and management of infectious diseases. Dr H Basavanagowdappa the vice chancellor said about the importance of educating the doctors about infections and how to prevent them. He emphasized the role of adult immunization. Dr Narayanappa principal Jss medical college spoke about the establishment of a proper infectious diseases centre at the hospital. Dr C P Madhu Director JSS Hospital stressed the need to have a team approach to tackle infections. Dr Y S Ravikumar HOD of Medicine spoke about the very few specialists in India due to the fewer residency programs compared to US. Dr B J Subhash Chandra gave the vote of thanks. Dr B Manjunath Registrar JSSAHER graced the occasion. The inauguration was followed by a series of talks by experts in infectious diseases who had come from Vellore at Bangalore. More than 300 delegates participated in the program.
