Times are changing | My say for 2014

This world is corrupt and has been for a long time. As much as I have hope for a better world with my optimistic ideals, I still get days where I boil up at the reality of it.

All of what I am about to say are my opinions only, so please be mindful of that.

First of all, I want to mention how us humans seem to be taking over the whole Eco-system like we are on top of the chain, which really has been proven as fact to a majority of us. It's all being done as a way of research, experimentation and for the sake of our 'safety'. Yes, we are very curious and yes, there has been many discoveries and revolutions through a lot what has taken place but....

Imagine the animals being held captive in zoos as a form of our amusement and entertainment, animals being shipped back and forth to different countries in which they are not used to; and our excuse is that we are saving them from extinction. Why are they leading to extinction in the first place?

We are destroying insects and animals as though they do not belong here because they are infesting our territory and our homes, or we are using them as a form of protein and clothing.

In my opinion, if they are here then they should be here. But this is a tough subject for me that I might revisit later on.

Nature seems to be a luxury now since a majority of land is being destroyed to create new houses or buildings and now most of what we see in the city are man made lakes and parks. Trees are being planted next to concrete pathways in which people hardly seem to notice. Fumes are building up in the air, chem-trails are adding to that pollution and plants are being grown in artificial light.

What I am trying to say is we (humans) have lost our natural-selves, our connection to nature and all that is. We have taken advantage of our knowledge and swiveled backwards, in my opinion. And to my understanding, it is all to do with keeping up with the economy. 

Look at the education system, in fact every other institution that has been created as a form of control. All of them with principles of fear. 'If you don't pass your exams, you will not have a future', 'If you are not righteous, you will go to hell'. Why is it that as soon as we are born, our freedom is quickly taken away from us? Our sense of worth starts to wither bit by bit because of the belief that our worth is based on conditions. So who are we?

Spending many years in education, believing in some personalized God/s and having to work for the rest of your lives until it's time to retire to which those years are really a preparation to die. What is life? 

Okay next our idea of love and relationships and how we put so much emphasis on one single person who's meant to make us happy. 'The one', they call it. The music we listen to that promote that way of thinking. In what way does it make sense that we should rely on a person to make us happy? Are they our life source? 

Times are changing because the system is clearly not working any more. Children are becoming smarter, people are rebelling whether they know it or not. Living in fear is more of a trap than just a survival mechanism. It seems to me right now is a battle between Love and Fear. 

Love is all there is and without it there's corruption. We don't just find it through one person, or some religion or through family. Fear is what has created the mess we are in right now, and the only way to overcome it is through the healing of ourselves.

"We are the change that we seek" 

This post might not have made sense and I'm sure I went off on tangents, but I felt it was important to share this. For a very long time, I hid my true self, I was scared of what people thought of me or how they'd react to my opinions. I was scared of not having people in my life that love me for me but now I've realized that I was only holding back the things I truly want.

My say for 2014 is that I have questions and views that can be very controversial, but let it be. My thoughts are and views are based on what I see and how I feel. I can feel that not only for me but times are changing in a sense that we are facing ourselves and the corruption of our lives and the world are a result of our actions and thoughts.

I believe the world was created for us all to enjoy, to love and be at peace. Maybe it's just a dream but it feels good.
