Titanfall 2 review
I’ve decided to post a game review here, to populate this profile, I might as well settle in here, right?
So, Titanfall 2 the sequel to Respawn Entertainments first game after splitting away from Infinity Ward, the game puts you in the boots of Rifleman and aspiring Pilot Jack Cooper (Yeah, he’s pretty generic, ignore that) The Militia fleet is on a top secret mission to a planet nobody knows about (Except the Militia...and the IMC...and some Mercenaries) the ship you’re on takes heavy fire and you’re forced to head to the surface via escape pod, then...well, I’m not going further than that.
This game probably is one of the better games for faced paced enhanced mobility gameplay out right now, as it’s not so fast you can barely see anything, but just fast enough to feel awesome, the guns also feel like guns but aren’t that insane (I mean yeah theres a gun that can turn people into meat chunks...)
Oh, then theres the Titans, they now feel like theres an actual point in your choice, each Titan (class) has a set of weapons and abilities that cater to that playstyle, so far theres no “winner” Titan...well, two Titan’s are currently overpowered, but even then it’s down to player skill (Something most games are lacking)
They also added customisation to the game, before there was barely any way to personalise yourself, to stand apart from the rest, now you can adorn yourself in warpaints to intimidate or dazzle your opponents.
Overall, the game is well built, it’s just the multiplayer seems to be too satisfying, theres nothing really to unlock either as most of the best gear is starter gear, but they vastly improved the campaign in this title, if there was no multiplayer I’d still buy the game just for the singleplayer, you don’t really need to feel for either character, but it is a sort of “bonding” experience, it’s sort of a Meet new friend then blow stuff up together experience, I’m probably rambling at this point, but in short, the game gets a solid
8/10
