Harpy eagles are massive birds of prey that stand between 3 and 3.5 feet tall and can weigh up to 20 pounds (with females being larger than males). They have a wingspan of approximately 6.5 to 7 feet. These are one of the most powerful birds in the world.

They can be found in rainforest habitats from southern Mexico through Central America and much of South America, including countries like Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, and northern Argentina.
