The Trenches - Seeing Stars From "A Ho-Hum Wave of Everyday Mundane" EP Release Date June 12, 2026 Back in 2018 John and I formed The Trenches. By 2019 we had written and produced our first EP, and had just begun to play shows when the pandemic hit in 2020. Trying not to lose sight of our goals, but unable to perform live, we hunkered down in our studio to write and produce our second EP, initially planning to add the songs to the first one and release a full length album. But in 2021 I moved to San Francisco, and the music we had made languished, unfinished and unreleased.
John passed away in 2024, and when he did I lost not just my best friend and band mate, but really a brother. It’s taken me two years to grieve and pull myself together enough to finish it, but now in 2026 I am releasing all of our music in the form of two EPs, the first of which is available now streaming and on Bandcamp. To set it all off my other brother Jason Travis put together a music video for Seeing Stars, the first track off the second EP which will be available next Friday June 12. I am proud of this music we made together, and so glad to share it with all of you. I know John would be too.
