The concept of writing a best friends to fwb to strangers to friends again to lovers fic where the reader and Steve are neighbors and grew up together, and they start experimenting, but things get messy when Steve starts dating Nancy bc they’ve basically been in love this whole time, they were always just too scared to admit it, and it literally spans across all of the seasons bc that’s how long it takes for them to finally realize it. Angsty, long, filled with yearning, years of mutual pining and canon divergence.
Lmk if anyone would actually read that bc it’s been stuck in my mind for monthsss and I may or may not have started writing it…
