swap age au. Sam is emo and still cursed, and Dean still wants to protect his brother and greatly admires him...
hey man. what the fuck
I know Bobby... I know
I know that inner monologue was in the script
I don't understand people not liking supernatural filler episodes.
I don't even understand calling them "filler episodes", because aren't those like half of the show? isn't part of the show's identity having those case episodes with different crazy concepts or based on different movies or shows? genuinely they're my favorite part of the series
dean: (a little bit pissed off)
sam: you know, dean, you can always grab my hair and slam my face into the dashboard . go ahead.
Congrats but this is not the time, Dean
Based on x
the thought of even a smidge of wincest in the new the boys season has me shaking…. my god i need it so bad guys.. pls make soldier boy kiss whatever character jared is. im begging
I firmly believe that this is the current state of mind of the entire fandom.
i feel like dean is crazy enough to take it personally if sam got a head cold and he didn’t. like “are sammy and i not close enough to share all germs 😞”
Sam: I have a cold.
Dean: no, we. We have a cold. Us.
The conjoined twins joke never was a joke
Top Dean who melts completely into his brothers tender touch, who turns into putty on his lap and lets his baby boy wash away all of his worries and stress...
He looks into Sam's adoring eyes and suddently there's nothing more important in the world than being the one who gets to be loved and held by him.
As far as I can see, there's a whole discussion going on here between those who deny Dean Winchester's abuses and those who actually list them, haha.
The first group frustrates me because I adore Dean but for the same reason I love seeing all his sides, good or bad, appreciating him as the complete character he's. The fact that he loves and prioritizes Sam does not erase the damage he has caused him, and the fact that most of the characters are in love with him and always treat him like a romanticed tragic hero doesn't erase his many flaws. And that's okay, his inconsistencies and contradictions are what make him such an incredible character.
So yes, Dean has abused Sam, invalidated his wishes, his emotions, and decisions. And yes, Dean loves him above all else and wants him to be happy, wants him to live the best life possible… it's just that he never stopped thinking it was his responsibility to make decisions for Sam in that regard. That makes him such a selfish and controlling person, it always makes me laugh when he accuses Sam of being the same.
Because of all this, it always throws me off when people think of Sam and Dean's brotherhood as something healthy. They have almost no boundaries, they don't have deep conversations unless they're on the verge of death, they make decisions against each other's wishes, and they lie constantly. There's physical violence on Dean's side and constant manipulation on both sides. And why does it seem like none of that matters? Because they need each other more than anything. The environment around them is hostile, and the obsessive quest to save each other is the most stable thing they have in this world where everything—divine, monstrous, or human—wants to take something from them.
It helps that they know their brother by heart and that they're the perfect companions for the nomadic life they lead. They were technically conditioned from childhood to endure hardships and help each other stay entertained in the process. That's what makes their bond so special. In adulthood, they can make their own decisions and have that sort of illusion that they are doing what they want, but they never stopped being that pair of damaged boys who travel the country's highways and face unthinkable difficulties while trying to make the journey pleasant for their brother and protect him from all evil.
No kidding
