and some of these flashes are terrifying and you start getting stressed whenever you can’t see Dad, paranoid when he’s taking quiet phone calls in the middle of the night. you want to drink even though Dad‘s never let you have more than a couple sips of beer, you’re sleepwalking and finding yourself passed out in the back of the car you’re not allowed to touch

and there’s more dreams, where you’re kissing him, your dad, and he’s touching you back, and you feel gross and traumatized even though you keep waking up having creamed your boxers. and it's not just your dad, in these dreams, not always guys either, but most of them they call you by your name, not DJ, on your back and on your knees and you wake up, gasping Dad and Sammy

I'd love to see dean so far gone in the sudden resentment / hate that filled his heart that he's not even angry, he just straight up ignores sam most of the time. like he's not even worth the energy it'd take to reply to his provocations.

or the complete opposite. out of nowhere all he sees are flaws and defects on his baby brother, and he can do nothing but violently point them out and correct them. the feeling of rejection he endured during the Stanford years bubbling up and taking over him completely.
