Alr, alr, let's see... imagine a cat bunny boy who says wahoo, uses a special ring to summon magic bullets of wind, and who is gathering a concerning amount of trauma... that's the gist of it
Klonoa is a little dream traveler cabbit critter, who is constantly being given the short end of the stick at every turn in life. Like he genuinely cannot catch a break for 10 minutes before shit hits the fan once again. But he still does everything in his power to turn these situations around as best as he can, and we love him for it.
There's 7 games in total and some manga, though you don't really lose anything from just interacting with the games (The manga are just some comedy stories that don't mess with any "canon" material). There's only 2 mainline titles, the rest are either handheld (WonderSwan/GBA) stories that don't really follow the mainlines, and also a beach volleyball party game that kind of kicks ass for no reason.
Klonoa's main gameplay is 2.5D platforming, where the stages are linear, but you can interact with the foreground and background (though it's JUST 2D for the handheld games)
The stories of the games are great, especially the mainline titles and the rpg. They made me cry, and the ending to 1 still makes me emotional if that means anything. The games seem really light-hearted, but will absolutely gut punch you if desired. The music especially is what will probably get you, there are so many wonderful and devastating songs in the series, mostly in the last half of the first game. If you can do nothing else currently, I'd at least suggest checking out the soundtracks. Very much worth a listen.

If you want to get started, there is the Klonoa: Phantasy Reverie Series available on all platforms. They're remakes of the 2 mainline titles (Well, Klonoa DtP in this package is just a reskin of the Wiimake, but with more faithful visuals, but I digress). They also have the first GBA title, Empire of Dreams, available on the NSO package if you got that.
There isn't much that you can play these days, and the remakes are mehhh, but it's what's accessible...unless you're willing to emulate, in which case do so, as then you can access everything !!!
