Headcanon || Music, Other Talents
Nana is a fairly talented violinist. As children, the Gyeon girls were required by their parents to take up several different trades that could potentially make them money: music, sports, art, as well as excel in their studies. As such, Nana is fairly skilled in the area of violin, track, dancing (ballet is her speciality) and cooking. However, school was the one thing that Mari was better at than she was. Not to say that Nana was stupid, not by a long shot. She simply did not perform well.
It’s a huge reason that Nana did not want to take up a career that required her to have good grades. It’s also why eventually her parents stopped pushing her in school and shifted their focus to pushing her in her extracurriculars.
At her old apartment, in her bedroom, trophies lined the walls of her achievements. Second place was never an option for Nana, and she needs perfection as a result. Any sort of trophy that may show such a thing were immediately thrown away, and the trash was immediately taken out. She strives for perfection, since it’s what her parents instilled in her. To this day, while she still has those skills, she mostly only still keeps up with dancing and violin, because those were the ones she enjoyed the most.

Fingers lightly traced fabric that made up the sheets beneath her, legs kicking back and forth, each landing with a light thud, opposite hand spinning the phone that sat beside her. Quickly, Nana rose, and hand gripped the phone that she had previously been spinning slightly. Feet propped upon the bed frame, placing one elbow upon knee, and chin resting in open palm, other hand bringing the phone up to her face, expression bored. Eyes locked upon a name in particular.
[txt] .... [txt] There has to be something that cane be done in down time that doesn’t involve party planning, right? [txt] Like I don’t have to spend all my free time planning out this party, do I? I get that that’s what I’m here for, but surely?

Headcanon || Mari
Mari was Nanas elder sister by several years. However, that did not stop them from being incredibly close. While Nanas mother did her best to raise the both of them and show them what they need to know for the real world, Mina never really showed her how to be a “girl,” so to say. Minas teachings mostly consisted of life skills, while Trangs teachings were how to become succesful. It was all Mari that taught her when it came to dressing herself and making herself look pretty. To Nana, these things were incredibly important, especially when she became a teenager, because your looks were what could lead people to take initiative to speak to you, and that was how job opportunities would arise.
There was a 10 year age difference between Mari and Nana, leaving Nana at age 20 when Mari passed. It left an incredible loneliness in Nana, and it was a very quick death, one that she does not like talking about. Pneumonia, coupled with an already weak immune system from when Mari was struck with a similar illness as a child. In fact, unless one asks, she does not talk about Mari at all anymore, as the memories are something that bring her both great joy and great sadness. She loves her sister, and still visits her gravesite to this day.
