The goat shifts some looking around to the tanuki.He blinks then nods to him. He pulls his cellphone out then gives him his cell number as well adds Miro’s numbers to his own phone.

“Alright then. I’ll be sure to keep that in mind.”

“Great.~ Now that’s dealt with, I need you to try one thing before you go.~” Miro chimed while heading over to the warming box where they keep their baked good warm and pulled out a cookie or two for Cair. “Could you please try this? I wanna know what you think of it and what could be added.~ It’s pumpkin flavor~”

“I had to fight the urge to speak aloud. I didn’t want to speak to it aloud in public. Although I’m pretty sure my face was expressive regardless…”

With that Ciar laughs softly to himself then shakes his head. He looks to Miro hearing him apologize. He’d smile then shakes his head.

“It’s fine Miro. It was pretty obvious with the offer.”

The goat shifts his weight slightly while looking about.

“Well,got any other job or are you fine at the moment?”

Miro laughed a bit at the thought of Ciar pulling some silly faces while he was shopping. They sorta regret not coming along with them, but they still had work to do at the shop. Speaking of work Miro looked over to the table with a tray of cookies that are waiting to be put in the oven. A monster did put an order for a cake but that’s only for a week in advance though...

“No, I don't’ think I have anything for you right now. But I got an idea, give me your number,~” Miro took a piece of paper that’s nearby and scribbled something onto it. “Here is my work, cell, and home phone number.~ You can call me if I need anything and I could do the same for you. If you can’t reach me on one, then I’m sure to answer on the other two.~ ”

Ciar continued to help put up everything. It was easy enough to figure out where the things went. He looks over his shoulder hearing Miro speak. The goat rubs at the back of his head as he speaks up.

“Well…the doll’s words will likely fail on most monsters. After all,we do have lots of time ourselves.”

He stated as he thought on it. Once everything was put up,he stretches out some and rolls his head around a little.

“It was strange to have a voice in your head more so though…”

“Yes... It does kinda take you by surprise, doesn't it?” Miro said with a sighing in relief to know he didn’t fall for indigo’s tricks. They know the doll's words would fall on deaf ears since most monsters are magical in nature and they could probably pursue whatever their hearts desire. “I’m sorry that Indigo’s... Assertiveness when it comes to helping you. But I sure it means well though, it might just want to give you a welcoming gift for getting the job.~” Miro sounded hopeful but it’s possible to hear the heavy doubt in those words. Not really disappointed or disheartened either, it was more of an ‘eh what can I do’ type of tone.

Ciar let out a small chuckle,if not slightly disgruntled at first. He would walk towards the counter to go into the back area. He stops near the counter to sit the doll on it.

“You can say they did talk to me…”

The goat continues to move on into the back area. He sets everything down then starts to find places to put the stuff up.

They picked up the carton of eggs and was just about to put it in the fridge, but hearing him sigh like halted them instantly.

“Oh no... Did they really did what I think they did.” Miro swears... If this doll keeps doing this to their customers and workers they’re gonna throw them in the freezer.

Watcher just looked back at Miro, then the doll, then back to Miro, then the doll again, then back and forth and back and forth for ages upon ages…Yes, he did have no idea what was going on. The wings that suddenly appeared on his back made the thing even more confusing.

“W-what the???” Watcher said, looking around it confusion and awe as he looked back and saw the amazing pair of wings on his back…it was…strange to feel. He looked back at Indigo, puzzled but somewhat thankful. “…Erm…thank you…w-what do I do now?”

The doll didn’t seem as thankful, in fact they were giving him the meanest glare their beady eyes could muster. Which was nothing.... The feeling of being glared at angrily was still there though. Miro, however, looked very pleased to see their little friend have a pair of wings now. They gently took them off their shoulder and held Watcher in their paws. “Just think about flying, imagine you have a second pair of arms on your back and you’re flapping them really fast.~ I know it sounds silly, but that’s what flying’s like when it comes to fairies though~”

Ciar listened to the doll,wondering quietly to himself. Which he wondered if Miro knew Indigo would do this too him too. It was no use to thinking too much on it right now though. He was doing a shopping run for the tanuki at the time.

‘Well…Miro as far as I get is pretty good natured. He seems so sweet and kind.’

Eventually he comes up to the store,stepping in through the front door.

“Hey Miro! I got the stuff!”

“That they are, that they are...” There was some music playing in the kitchen while a shadow swaying back and forth in the same rhythm of the music, though after having Ciar call out Miro’s name it soon stopped along with the music. The baker’s head popped out from the doorway.

“Welcome back you two!~ I hope shopping went smoothly for you, I’m sure Indigo must have talked your ears off. The tanuki chuckled while lifting the little countertop to allow him to walk to the back of the shop.

Ciar kept himself from making facial expressions as it spoke about Miro. He lifts his hand-paw out of the pouch with money needed,handing it over to the cashier.

‘I wouldn’t judge a person on their belongings. I even knew you were magical. I did not expect this however. I assume he knows about what you try to do then?…’

He asks it in return as he gathers up the bags. Then he began to take them back to Miro’s place. He was careful with everything since it was a fair bit to carry all together.

“M’lord knows the tricks and pranks that I do already, they partake in some when they’ve come across a rather nasty customer. The raccoon dog and I are quite alike~” Are they both fae in nature, a bit yes. But not to the extent that they’re always trying to trick humans and monsters into some deals like how indigo do. If Miro does it’s probably for a good cause, that and they want to try out a recipe that involves putting such beings. It’s been a very very long while since they done that, and Indigo misses those times. “But not to the extent I wish for but still alike nether the less~ “

“…F-fair enough.” Watcher muttered, sighing as he looked down at the ground below…jeez this was very high up, how did he climb up Miro and not realize this sooner? He grabbed hold of Miro, not wanting to let go of their fur and fall to his death.

“So…what do I do now?” He asked, pondering on their shoulder. “Do I like…stick around your house like some sort of gnome and help you out with cooking?”

“You can! But with you at this size, It’s going to be hard for you to move around. Hmm, I wonder...” Miro tapped their foot for a little while they try to think of a solution.

“I got it! Indigo, come here, please!~” The baker called out and without a moment passing by the little doll was present and sitting on the counter. “Indigo, be a dear and give Watcher your wings, alright? He’s gonna need a way to get around the shop.~” Indigo didn’t seem very happy with this and even making a sound that was very close to someone slamming their hands on a piano. Very loudly at that too.

“Stop being such a little baby, it’s only for the day. You’re gonna get them back before you have to even grow them. Just give it to him.” Miro scolded annoyingly, its not like it hurts them or anything, that little doll does it on a regular basis when they need to get washed. Indigo poofed it’s wings on Watcher’s back begrudgingly, still playing some random piano sounds like before, but luckily not as intense.

When the doll moved,he noticed it himself. Which caused him to look down at it. Well he caught on to whom the voice was now.

‘Wait…you’re the doll?…’

He came up to a cash register soon. Which he looked down to Indigo again as he thought.

‘So uh…you can get money from the store right?’

He would ask them,giving the amount needed as it was rung up. He’d even reach his hand-paw into the tool pouch he had.

As Ciar went in to grab the money he can feel the needed cash clink against his fingers. Just the right amount he needed to pay for the food, indigo kicked its stubby feet, but to anyone who’d passed by would think it’s just the wind making it move. “The goat gets it!~ Did thou honestly think m’lord was mad for talking to a doll? Probably not, but I would.” The doll chuckles again, this time it was lighthearted than the other times before, surely it didn’t mean to say it in a bad way.

Ciar continued to gather up items on the shopping list. He was finishing up as the voice spoke up to him again. Wait what? Their words made him halt a moment.

‘Master? What…do you mean by that?’

He had a idea but wasn’t entirely sure of what this voice meant.

The doll’s head tilted up to look at him a bit curiously, wondering what else could they mean. Perhaps it’s just easy for them to see the tells the tanuki gives off after being with them for so long. “What doth I mean by what?~ M’lord throwing thou a limb? Not sure, why don’t thee untangle this old trickster’s words and tell me thy-self.~” It said in an aloof manner, though they were actually curious if he could figure out why their master would give him a job.

“Y-you’re telling me this now?” He asked, climbing onto his shoulder and sitting down on top of it. He was still in shock, crossing his arms with a huff as he began to ponder what he was doing with his life right now. He wanted to just go back to normal…but at the same time, he was somewhat enjoying it.

“F-fine…just tell me so I can get used to being like this.” He sighed, resting his head upon his hands as he began to look around the now much larger shop.

Miro cleared their throat, “Well for starters, and most importantly I can’t reverse this it just wears off in time. But the good news is that it only lasts a whole day! You’ll stay like this a bit later than that, so that’s a bit of good news~” Miro looked over at Watcher on their shoulder with a delighted smile. “Hm... There’s a bunch other stuff regarding combat, but I really don’t think you might be willing to fight anything in your size at the moment, ah haha~” the tanuki chortled lightly.

“I understand you might be a little bit peeved to know I didn’t tell you all this earlier, but you wouldn’t have gone through with it if I did.”

The goat’s face scrunched up hearing the tone of the voice. He let out a sigh to himself as he continued to search through the grocery store. He happened to notice the item move near by but didn’t look at it.

‘It is boring and mundane yes. Being a monster though,I have lots of time to live a fulfilling life. If you don’t know we live longer than normal mortal creatures. Also such a offer is suspicious…like how a trickster in some story would pester some protagonist to give them a easy way out.’

He gathered his thoughts after having this mental conversation with this stranger. He knew looking for them would be useless.

Indigo didn’t seem to like his answer, not one bit, except that they know time is a luxury for these monsters. Time. It’s probably the only thing that’s preventing them from nailing any deals with anyone down here. Oh how they wish to be back on the surface, the human’s at least were much easier to persuade given their short life span. “Heh heh...” Their chuckles empty with a hint of annoyance rattling it in it. It was a good chance that one of those tricksters in the book really might be indigo. It really has been such a long time. “Aye, thou caught this little fairy fair and square. But doth thou really expect anything less?~ I’ve seen how m’lord have thrown a limb in for thee, why shouldn’t I doth the same?~ “

Watcher started to get rather annoyed, bouncing up and down in anger, which would’ve made the scene only more and more humorous. He slowly calmed down, running towards Miro’s foot as he began to climb up them.

“H-hey…I had no idea you were so fluffy like this…jeez this makes things really awkward.” He began to stop, hopefully resting on Miro’s shoulder.

They didn’t really expect him to start scaling them up like a tree, it felt weird, almost like a bug! Miro gave a small shudder with caused them to get a bit more fluffy.

“It is, isn’t it? But I gotta stay warm some how.~ Gosh this is weird, I don’t want to loose you in my fur... “ They muttered while smoothing their fur down just a bit so it won't be in his way. “U-Uhm Watcher, I should’ve told you about the side effects before hand... Erm.. W-Would you still want to hear them? It’s nothing fatal, I can assure you that!~”

The black goat continued to pick out everything on the shopping list. Everything was generally easy to find thankfully. He came to a halt hearing a voice directed at him. Specially as he could tell it spoke to him directly.

‘Wondrous way to thy goal? What are you talking of exactly? That is a vague question.’

Ciar thought out mentally,without speaking a word. He wouldn’t want to speak aloud to no one. So he thought to speak to this voice mentally. All the while examining a product before putting it into the basket he was carrying.

The same voice chuckled, the tone didn’t really carry any amusement in it, though it was still had that pompous cadence in it. They like giving a vauge question and always tell important things in riddles. “Thy efforts art in vain, a waste of time doing something so mundane,” something on the shelf moved a bit to let him know that they’re talking about shopping stuff for Miro or even probably working for them in general?~ “doth thee wisheth for an easier way to earneth thy wealth?~”
