Light of the Abyss

Hi there! Todays photo was one picked by the model, Malia Aberg. Malia is amazing in her underwater portraits as well as he portraits above land. I know this all to well, because I tried to look amazing underwater, using this seven foot long peice of red fabric, I got tangled up in it and looked absolutly ridiculous. I want you to know underwater photography is the most difficult form of photography, because you are holding your breath while looking beautiful and holding exquisite poses. This scene was in a pool, in Las Vegas, Nevada. I set up a black backdrop and extended it from the top of the pool all the way into the middle of it. I used weights with sand in them, which added clouds of sand, not the perfect environment for a underwater scene, lesson learned. It would be best to fill the weights with clean rocks, and having a sparkling pool would be the best scenario if you dont want to spend hours in photoshop cleaning the scene. While traveling in Northern California, through the twisting roads on the outskirts of Big Sur, I came across this breath taking view.
