Studying MIL

MIL subject for me is not a book-based subject. It requires us students to reflect on ourselves to be a media and information literate. We don’t really need to memorize terminologies but to apply what we have learned in this subject in our daily lives. My first grading experience in MIL is very fun and meaningful. I always write inspirational and knowledgeable word of the day that my teacher say to us, students and I always spend time to reflect on those to apply it in my daily living. It teaches us to assess the information that we gather on social media, as well as giving fact informations that we could provide for a healthy social media environment. Plus, thanks to the great teaching style of my teacher in MIL. She doesn’t let our distance hinder us on not learning this subject, but to provide learnings that we could get from her. She always appreciate her students, and I think that is the reason why her students give their full effort on their outputs.

My First Library Experience

Its so awkward for me to say this, but yes, it is my first time going on the library when I was in grade 11 in UPHSD-Molino. I like the feeling that I can finally go in a library where I can study with a good environment!

Seriously, I can’t study enough here in our house due to certain noise that my parents create when I am reviewing. “Utos” here, “Utos” there 😭.

So, going back to my story. I really don’t know what to do when I get there, so I invited my classmate to join with me to cure my anxiousness xDDD. On my first glance, I really said “WOW” to my classmate and my inner book spirit reincarnated in my body saying that I MUST GO HERE DURING MY FREE TIME! It gives me chills when I smell the whole room 🤧🤧🤧 I really like it, the smell of knowledge!

Me and my classmate wrote on the attendance list. I really don’t know what to do in the attendance, but thanks to the librarian who guided us scanning our school IDs for the attendance xD. We even apply for a library card. This card will allow us to barrow books. But, I didn’t really barrow one during the whole school year soooo, I feel like I just wasted it xD.

I navigate all the books that I could see there for future purposes. I memorizes their location so that it will be easier for me to find them.

So, that was all my first experience going on the library xD, As the time goes by, the enthusiasm fades away :<< maybe because of lazyness and a lot of school works that I need to do. I really don’t have time so get there to have an advance study, but still, our school library is my printing location for the outputs that I needed to accomplish.

Our school library is very helpful for my studies. It allows me to have a boundless information that I need. In addition, is very helpful when there was a time that I need to have an advance study and review for my Quarterly Assessment. It is a very good source of information, accessible to all students, and a helping guide for us students for our studies, thus, it is our responsibility to maintain this healthy environment, and not to spread fake information that we gather here.

Given to the fact that we have variety of medias and source of information to use, I learned that it is important for us to be responsible and be information literate. It will help us to live effectively and meaningful by abiding to the rule of not spreading fake news consciously nor unconsciously. Assessing the information that we gather require us to think before we posts on social media. It will allow us to have a healthy and meaningful social media environment.

Hidden | Julian Sison

An original song  created by a student to open the mind of people about body shaming. The main goal of this song is to comfort and help the victim of body shaming to build their confidence and to show other people that we have our own beauty. This beauty must be appreciated and not to judge on what we can see but to feel and understand what true beauty is. I hope that this song reach the people who are in need, before it is too late.

It gives me a nostalgic feeling while remembering that I once played this Telephone Can. I admit that I enjoy it a lot with my friends, and I am missing the simplicity of entertainment before. We used this toy before to communicate when our grandmother separate us because we were too noisy. If I will have an opportunity to play this now, I will not hesitate like how I longing for my friends today. 

 As we grow older, the technology seize our daily lives. I remember when I was 12 years old is when my mother bought me my first cellphone. It gives me a delightful feeling to use it and to text my friends on how my daily life undergoes.

 We can feel how cellphone is very relevant to our life. It gives us frustration whenever we cannot find our phones or we cannot access on the internet. We use this as mode of communication and for us to be updated to the current news and issues. I am looking forward to the future inventions of people like how they use their immeasurable curiosity for the improvement of technology.
