I love how differently Val and Juls flirt. Like Val is so cheesy and dumb and romantic “you were my Prince Charming” “you look so pretty when you’re right” and Juliana is like sultry teasing and making eyes at Val
Lol, “cheesy and dumb”.
But it works every time because Juls is ridiculously in love with her dork.
The cutest thing is, Val does it deliberately to lighten the mood and get a laugh from her girl.
Juls, though, Juls is so much reluctant to put herself out there. She does it when she’s super confident. Say…after their first time?
Or after saying she needed space, Val being the one to come to her and tell her she didn’t mean it, demonstrating so clearly that she’s actually still so into her.
And her purpose is different, as is the end result, Val is so affected in a totally different way, lol. In those moments, the cute thing is that while Juls is definitely not looking to lighten the mood–rather the opposite–they enjoy the banter and flirting so much there’s still this joy that shines through.

Episode 76: A Really Redemptive Recap
Val-Give-Her-A-Break-Carvajal (I think I’ll have to make one of this per episode from now on? Give Val a BREAKKKKKK, pretty pleaseeeeeeeeee?)
Last EP’s MVP now has to deal with the fallout from the kidnapping/rescue, but at least there was some actual progress when it comes to the relationship with her Suegra.
Lupe defending her against a very insensitive Montilla was a nice touch and (finally) things seem to be looking up, I KNEW Lupe would get over her old-school-ignorant-AF-ways for Juliana and I mean after Val’s Heroic AF display of care and love how could she NOT let’s be REAL.
Lupe sharing Juls message with Val and them celebrating together (for a second) definitely puts them on a good track towards acceptance, the Suegra will eventually come around people, she will.
Valentina feeling GUILTY for Lucho’s death? Nope …Nope …Nopity NOPE. Guille and Renata being their adorable selves (as usual) and staying by her side was really nice, she’s gonna need A LOT of support to get better after this :(
Disaster-Dads-Duo is still one of my favorite things, Jaboco/Leon giving 0 fucks and telling Juliana everything, while still keeping his fam in the dark…the nerve lol. Glad to see Barbara the Bruja calling him out on it.
But the highlight was Beltran/Chino’s confrontation with Juliana: so many layers and baggage (and FEELS). It was so nice for Chino to acknowledge his love for Juls regardless of her (very understandable) reluctance to believe this whole transmigration thing.
I still think Beltran will not survive till the end ( :( ) but at least he’s getting a chance to make things RIGHT.
That Lupe Beltran/Chino reunion was intense! Chino seeing Protective Panchito in action was interesting too, he’s realising his old ways were super destructive and that his family seems to have moved on without him, I’d be sad for him …except he was AWFUL so yeah my dear Chino…Karma = Bitch.
Juls Called Val!
(And was her STOIC another-day-another-FUCKED-UP-situation self LOL. Its almost tragic how unfazed she is by these things at this point, but she’s had a rough life poor gurl.)
Valentina being super relieved to hear Juliana (and the fact she was safe and sound) was great to see, if you don’t take into account she’s super destroyed by Lucho’s death at the moment, even Sergio’s fuckboi antics take a seat if you consider they were all childhood friends and have know each other since forever.
Val going deep into that PTSD could really complicate things and be kinda hard to watch, but then again I remember last time she was this sad it took 0.3 seconds of expending time with Juls for her to feel way better so here’s hoping for a decent reunion (FINALLY) on the Next EP.
After the last crazy action packed ep This was more of a calm(mess) before the storm kinda ep , but so many dynamics are starting to fall into place, all in all a pretty solid one IMO.
Regarding Fandom drama …I think its great Barbara addressed that shit IMMEDIATELY, Maca in her typical Golden-Retriever-In-Human-Form fashion just graced past all that BS, Never Change lol.
All I’ll say is: Social Media IS NOT real, so please don’t take it too seriously but always remember there are HUMAN beings on the other side who DO NOT deserve Hate or Disrespect of ANY KIND.
Be smart, Be Kind, and remember RESPECT is also a form of love.

please let's talk about juliana's eyes and how they only seem to soften for valentina, and how valentina must feel being on the receiving end of those looks
Listen. My mom has a phrase for this: mahal kaayo ang iyang pahiyom.
Roughly translated, it means “her smiles are very expensive.”
See, Juls has had a hard life. In Texas, she lived below the poverty line, in a trailer park. Her dad was a deadbeat who never really treated her like his daughter - and it got worse when he turned out to be a hitman, which she only discovered before he was arrested and sentenced to death for murder. In the last month she’s been shot at, attacked, threatened with rape by Alacran and forced to flee to Mexico to hide for who knows how long.
She doesn’t trust or like most people, because they have shown her the worst that humanity has to offer. She’s hard because she’s had to be, because people have always looked down on her, because she’s always been told by everyone, except maybe Lupe, that she isn’t good enough. She didn’t even begin to dream about becoming a fashion designer until she met Val; Lupe had to convince just to aim for going to school instead of working. That kind of oppressive thought weighs down a person, and if you are to have any hope, you have to have your guard up.
But Juls as a person? She is kind, generous, and loving in a way that, if you can get her to trust you, is effortless and giving. Lupe is the only one we have ever seen her smile for, encouragingly and happily because that’s actually the kind of person Juls is. Her joy is so hard earned, that she gifts smiles to the people she loves when they are feeling down. But given her life? Juls really has to dig deep to find something to be happy about, so it costs a lot to get her to really smile, the kind of smile that shines in your eyes.
Her smiles are expensive because her happiness is so rare.
Until she meets Val.
And it’s like she lights up the freaking ROOM, because it’s so easy with Val. It is easy to trust Valentina because she’s so open with her feelings, there isn’t a lying, malicious bone in her body. Juls can afford to be soft and tender around her, mostly because when they first met, Val was the one who already was so vulnerable and sad. And Juls couldn’t bear to see that because she’s a kind person, so she lowered her walls and let her joy out, just to so Valentina could match her smile. It’s par the course with her M.O. to use her own joy to lighten others’ spirits.
But then, Val opened up to her and suddenly, someone else was making her smile.
A LOT.
EFFORTLESSLY
INCANDESCENTLY.
And so she gives her smiles freely. Generosity begets generosity. Val is so generous with her love, that tenderness just pours out of Juls as a result, without her consent. She couldn’t help it if she tried. (To be fair, she doesn’t try very hard at all).
And for Valentina? All she has ever known is a soft and open Juls, who looks at her with warm, kind eyes. Who only gets hard and angry when she’s hurt or scared. A sad and hard Juls is abnormal to her. She associates warmth and tenderness with Juls so much, she can’t even fathom the idea of her beloved Chivis not loving and cherishing Juls the way she does. Because Juls is only ever soft around her. Because just being around Valentina makes Juls feel safe. Settled. Secure.
These kids are the softest OTP I have ever seen. All they want is to eat their breakfast in peace and make out. They are the sane, soft, healthy, giving core of this INSANE telenovela, and they are just better together.
(In fact the show’s plot depends on it, since they function as the lynchpin/bridge of the entire damn show. There’s a reason why the plot lives and dies on their together status: they’re the only ones who have met players and influenced all seven major storylines. Between the two of them, they have all the pieces to break the premise of the show, and they have for a while now. But, another post for another time).

What I love about this scene
Val really just can’t sit there and eat her toast. She hasn’t touched juls for minute and can’t resist doing it again. She spins her all the way around and has her ag the counter. like what a move VAL.
If this isn’t the cutest most playful interaction. plus…. the little thumb press to her chin dimple and Juls hands going down her back. I die
Of course, this moment could easily lead to them making out. The way Juls looks at her is begging to be kissed and glancing at her lips. Val doesn’t know where to put her hands so she just holds them in front, bc in that moment she wants to do so much more.
The way Juls face drops when she sees Val hurting. There is such a longing there.
The way Juls pins her to the counter top.
Val is upset.. but Juls breaks down her walls (she drops her shoulders) .
Besides the cute conversation about being a g’ma. (which they are basically saying i dont want to be your g’ma bc i want to be your lover) Which is HIGH KEY ADORABLE. But…. The tear in the corner of Val’s eye breaks me.
First Juls swallows.. like she made the decision. the tension WOW. Then the way juls strokes her cheek and grabs the back of her neck and nudges her to let her know that she wants to kiss her. Val like awakens after that and leans
