Why are you so weird?
Rude.
Well I ain’t call you a truther.
I don’t think Senor Pablo would appreciate that to be honest.
I guess I won't talk to you, then.
What was that? I couldn't hear you over the sound of me not talking.
Oh, but I think you do
Then no. His stomach has this weird cat acid in it and it dissolved the phone.
Are you calling me a liar?
It's still worth a shot, though, isn't it?
Yes again, don’t give me that look young lady
… . If I say yes, will you call my phone?
I don't know what you're talking about.
Yes.
Julie, yes. We’re going back to our fishing days.
My cat ate my phone?
Not again.
Really? So, if I were to call your phone, your cat would start ringing?
That was supposed to happen.
But yes it has been a decade or two… Where did you scurry off to? I’ve missed you.
Adrian, no.
Me? You're the one who hasn't texted me, sir.
Oh? I’m sorry, do I know you? Hi I’m Adrian.
Wow.
You've wounded me deeply this time.
Hm?
Did you call me?
Yes, I did. Where have you been?
It's like I haven't seen you in a decade.
i've come home; mortel & julie
Despite listening to Julie’s apology, Tel couldn’t even focus on it. He no longer cared that she had brought him back, even if there was a part of him that wanted to tell her that she shouldn’t have messed with life and death matters, but he didn’t stop hugging her to even consider doing that. “No,” he mumbled. “I’m sorry for doing something so foolish as to leave you when you were still young and needed me, and I’m sorry that I didn’t give you any warning and only left you a letter and that I didn’t believe you when I first came back. I’m sorry that I’ve called your dog annoying even if he is and I’m sorry that I wasn’t a better maker like I could’ve been.” Tel hesitantly pulled back so he could look at the girl. “I…when I turned you, I didn’t do a good job at protecting you, at keeping you safe, and when I went to jail I did that to take care of you, but I was selfish when I left you because you’re my responsibility, Julie. You’re my child, and I didn’t… I should’ve done better by you.”
Julie could feel her throat tightening up and did her best to not let any tears fall. She listened to him apologize, more to hear his voice than to actually pay attention to what he was saying. When he pulled away, she mustered up the most reassuring smile she could. “It’s okay, Tel. I forgive you, for everything,” She started, “I don’t care about any of that right now, just…” Her voice trailed off when she gazed into Tel’s eyes. They held much more than they did when he came back the first time. 300 years’ worth of memories suddenly back where they should be. An immortal soul forced inside of a human body that somehow managed to fit. All of him was back, Tel was finally back. “I missed you so much,” She managed before pulling him back into a hug. The effort to hold back tears was abandoned when a few came out and dampened Tel’s shirt.

Seeing Julie was like coming home. Tel didn’t even mind that Cat was nipping at his ankles in welcome, not this time, because of the fact that he knew that meant that Julie was home. Whenever the girl wasn’t, Cat was always waiting by the door, and the fact that this time he hadn’t been meant good things for him. “Shoo,” Tel mumbled to Cat softly before he looked up, spotting Julie. Tel couldn’t even find words to say, nothing that seemed good enough for the moment as he stepped forward and wrapped his arms around the girl, holding her tightly in his. He didn’t want to ever let her go again, glad that he just got to see her and know that she was okay, that he didn’t ruin everything by destroying himself in the process. “I’m sorry,” he mumbled softly. “I’m so sorry I left you, I’ll never do it again, I promise.” His fingers lightly curled into the girl’s hair. “I’m sorry I left you alone when I promised you before that I wouldn’t do that to you. I’m sorry.”
Julie wasn’t sure how to react when Tel stepped forward and brought her into his arms. The only other time they hugged was when she initiated the action, and it wasn’t as fulfilling as it should’ve been. Though she was still confused by the situation, she wrapped her arms around him nonetheless. It was only when he apologized for leaving when she realized that somehow he had gotten his memories back. Her grip around him tightened, though she was careful not to crush him because that was now a possibility. She took a breath that she didn’t need and let her eyes close. “It’s okay,” She whispered, not daring to raise her voice higher than that, “I’m sorry I got a witch to bring you back.”
i've come home; mortel & julie
He was back. Mortel didn’t exactly know how to handle the fact that three-hundred years of memories had just popped back into his head, and he didn’t know where this left him with Gunner. The incident in the library was not one that Tel would have ever done had he been thinking clearly, but it surely wasn’t something that the man regretted, and now that he was trying to settle into the fact that his memories were back and he was as close to normal as he could get again, he had to break the news to Julie. The mere thought of the girl brought a hint of a smile to his face, and even though he knew he ought to be frustrated with the vampire knowing that she was the one who brought him back when hadn’t wanted to be alive again, he didn’t think about that. Instead, Tel thought about how he just wanted to see the girl and hug her, let her know that he was sorry for leaving her when that was the one thing he shouldn’t have ever done. Mortel fumbled with his keys as he pressed into the home, unsure of what to say when he finally managed to talk to the girl, but once he pushed the door open, he figured that would just go along with it. “Julie?” he called out softly once he shut the door, hoping that she was home and he would be able to just hug her and apologise.
Julie had just gotten home and was settling in to the home she hadn’t been in for nearly three weeks and a very excited Cat. The house was just as she had left it when she fell ill, and for some reason, that created a feeling of desolation within her. If she thought about it long enough to search her conscience, she would find that it was because of how lonely it was. Water didn’t flow through the faucet when she was gone, nor did the refrigerator open or the TV turn on. There was an absence in the house that she didn’t realize was haunting it until she felt Cat leave her lap and patter to the front door. It was then that she heard the sound of keys jingling, and her name being called from by a familiar voice. When she got up and went to investigate, she saw the figure of Tel by the front door and smiled softly. “Hi,” She greeted as Cat attempted to get Tel’s attention, “Long time no see.”
No… it’s not good at all. Your skin’s paler too.
I wish I could help you.
I've noticed that as well...
There probably isn't much you can do, anyway.
What are you feeling?
I've started bleeding from my nose and ears. That's not good, is it?
Well, I'm definitely not feeling better.
And I thought they were just exaggerating in New York..
Impossible Julie, impossible.
Hmm…. 1920’s? Around that time, alcohol prohibition and all that good stuff. I think it was stupid passing that law…
Adrian...
That's..almost one hundred years. You need to go back again soon.
Yes, normal things. That’s… not good. What exactly are your symptoms now? You could always try it, though it probably won’t taste good to you and so pie isn’t wasted, I’d have to eat it.
I see... I can't really stand the sun at all anymore, for one thing. I also got a nosebleed earlier today..which was a bit scary, to say the least. I could, but that would guarantee you a free piece of pie minus a bite.
Good, is there anything I can do for you though Julie? Things are a bit crazy so I’m sorry if I’m the first to ask. It’s weird seeing you again when last time I was the one in the hospital bed.
Um, not at the moment, no, but thank you for asking. It's not a problem, I bet there are people here who are worse than I am. It does seem weird when you put it that way, especially since the roles are reversed. Oh, that reminds me, are you alright? I know you've been around a lot of sick people and it'd be horrible if you got what's going around.
