she was working on the latest pile of dishes in the sink when she heard one of her housemates enter the room. drying her hands on the dishtowel, she turned round and smiled, greeting them "please don't tell me you're adding a dish to the sink."
"sorrysorrysorry, but i promise it's only two plates." she apologised "do you want some help to finish these off? if you wash, i'll dry?" she offered in hopes it would lessen the blow of the additional dishes.

"Nothing we can do about that." they were all stuck there, it wasn't like there was some magic veil that could release them. "Unless there is some way to fight off those monsters, that is the reality of our world."
"i suppose not, it still doesn't make things easier" it was blunt but it wasn't a lie either. he was right, there was nothing people could do about it. "i don't think there is other than the stone with the markings that protects the buildings. we can only hope to find a way to fight those monsters"
At the mention of doom and gloom, he could relate to that. considering his life wasn't all happy and fun. Though, he was intrigued and curious as to what else captured her attention. "and what do you think of this place, let alone a party?"
"this place is my home and the community here is great, but i don't like it here." juliet looked out to the street and let out a sigh "it feels alien. what was once great now feels like it's built on nothing bad blood and the bodies of dead loved ones."
Quinn didn't have an answer about the killings. "I think It wants loyalty because It wants what everyone else does: attention and love. This is as close as It can get to us. How else can It interact?" She paused. "Raziel says you are connected to It too somehow. You see the things that happen here before they happen? Does It speak to you?"
"attention and love? it's got a funny way of showing it" people pinned quinn as crazy and while juliet would prefer to avoid labelling someone like that, quinn was not helping to curb those allegations. "i don't know if i'm connected to it. raziel has come to that conclusion. i do see things that happen here before they do, they come in dreams." she admitted "i don't hear voices if that's what you mean. i see everything like it's happening in real time, then i wake up. some point down the line i know it's going to happen. i just need to look for the clues or similarities"
"We share the same air, anyone who is seriously disturbed over the company of another. may need to check their attitude," he stated with another smile. he could tolerate the presence of others, but then again, he rather irritate than make them comfortable. "feel free to intrude." he chuckled. "it's interesting, the outfits are the highlight." he stated with a nod. "are you enjoying yourself?"
"you'd be surprised at some of the people around here. thank you" she smiled and took a seat on one of the steps "they are, everyone has taken the theme in their stride. i am, thank you. it's been nice to focus on something fun instead of the usual doom and gloom here"
"it's been pretty busy," nova admitted with a smile but took a moment to lean against the bar counter, "but i'm enjoying it. i'm not really into this kind of stuff so honestly i'm more than happy just sitting back here working." and that was true, while she liked to party and dance, a ball wasn't exactly her speed.
"at least your busy and it would make the time pass quicker for you" she understood people not being much of a fan of the event style "a ball is always overdramatic. if others have the same mindset as me, it's more the dressing up that's the fun"
“The Entity,” Quinn repeated, as though it were obvious and Juliet should already know what she was talking about. “The Mother of the Creatures. The Being in the sky. The one watching over all of us, wanting our attention. If you pledge your loyalty to It, It will grant you favor and you can move around the Creatures as one of them. Unharmed.”
raziel must've spoken to quinn, this was his doing. hearing that quinn had given the thing a name had juliets stomach sinking. "the mother of the creatures? why does it want our loyalty and why would i was to be around those creatures at all? they've been killing people for years, my family included." she worried that people were playing with something they didn't understand but something about quinn had juliet believing she knew more than she was letting on "i i think you're in this more than others and i don't know if that's a good thing or not"
He had been watching people mingle and dance, though he needed some fresh air for a smoke. Lighting up his cigarette, he thought about what turn of events would occur. He was the kind of person who believed everything wasn't always as it seemed. Like tonight's ball. What a joke. "Intrude." he stated with a chuckle "Just me, myself, and I. the audacity of an intrusion." he smirked.
"the audacity" she repeated and smiled taking it as a win that he wasn't someone that seemed overly irked at her unannounced arrival. "peace and quiet are both rare around here, some people would take it as an intrusion" she shrugged "are you enjoying the ball?"

Quinn had heard about Juliet and her abilities from Raziel, but she hadn't had a chance to confront the other until now. She zoomed over to the young woman as soon as she spotted her, showing up at Juliet's elbow like an apirition.
"Have you been touched by the Entity too?" she asked, a bit breathless from her run.
the art festival was bringing a happier light to town. juliet herself felt brighter at the event, that was until she had the life frightened out of her at the sudden arrival of quinn. she let out a squeal in shock, her hand over her chest.
"entity? what entity?" she asked confused "what are you talking about?"

she felt sorry for the people working the event that they had to miss out. juliet approached the bar and gave a wave hello to nova "hi, how's your night?" she asked with a smile "i hope things aren't to busy for you and you get a chance to join"

juliet had been dancing when her friends for a while, it had been the most fun she'd had in what felt like years. she laughed when she broke away from the group and started to make her way towards the bar for a drink.
after she'd paid for her drink, she took towards the front door and stepped outside for some fresh air. "sorry, i didn't mean to intrude." she apologied when she realised someone else was out there

"this place fucking sucks now." aaron mumbled mostly to himself not realizing he'd said it louder than he actually did. glancing at the person next to him he sighed, "sorry. i think. unless you think the same then feel free to add on i surely won't say anything."
startled, juliet did a double take at how abrupt the sentence was. "no, it's okay. i just didn't expect it. i don't know what i expected. but it wasn't that." she answered "i don't know if i'd use the wording you chose but there is an atmosphere here now. something's changed"
"She does need to work on her delivery," Raziel agreed. "But she is not incorrect. There is something at work here far greater than our minds can comprehend. She believes she can understand It, that It speaks to her and through this connection she can save lives. Perhaps she knows how your prophecies work."
"and you are blindly trusting all this? you said it yourself, there's something at work here greater than we know and you're banking on quinns faith that she understands it. she caused chaos, how can you expect me to trust that?" as intimidating as raziel was, he knew how to catch someones interest. the suggestion that there was a possibility that quinn might know how her clairvoyance was worked did catch her attention. it was a question that she'd been asking ever since she first had one of her dreams.
Ward had been about to head up to the projection booth when he stopped spotting Juliet. "Oh...yeah he's my younger brother, guess I've been calling him Harv too much around you." He flexed his bad hand, still getting use to it in the cold. "Looks like another slow day, guess the cars are warm enough for people," he mused out loud before glancing at her. "By the way, you've been doing alright at the Commune? Haven't really kept up with people as much as I'd like."
juliet let out an ohhh when he had explained it, the lightbulb moment going off "why didn't i put two and two together?" she laughed "that's harv. he's nice, very understanding that he had to go on my tour of this place to get to the booth to find you not there" ward was right, it was another slow day in the drive-in "i saw. maybe we need to reshuffle the movies again, make some new picks that will bring people in?" she suggested. juliet hesitated at his question and eventually nodded "umm...yeah...yeah" she started but she knew it was a wasted endeavour, she couldn't hide anything from ward "maybe not? i ran into raziel, he's terrifying. he figured out the dreams thing and said i should speak to quinn but i'm not sure that's a good idea after everything"
