Internship Diary - D17
Part I
I arrive late today. Only one minute before 8 - according to the punch card clock. I met Nina on my way up to the office.
Today, there is inspection on premises that sell raw chicken. If they have no license at all, the premise will be close and all the machines will be seized
By almost half past 8, Mr Fizi told us that we will be going with the License Department with their van as a mode of transportation.
I think it is 9 am when we arrived at the first premise. By the time we got there, the enforcement officers already doing the inspection. It is extremely dirty place. There is chicken blood everywhere on the floor. The smell is really awful. I hold myself so that I won't throw up. I regret wearing my loatfer!
The enforcement officers then question the owner and put on the seizure line and paste the notice to stop operation. Some machines like the one that is used to cut the chicken was taken away and also the scale. After taking pictures and giving compound, the inspection ended. P/S: Nina even take a photo of chicken which is fully covered by blood.
We then get back into the van and head to the second premise which is located a bit far. It took almost half an hour to reach there.
The second premise was just beside the main road near a traffic light. From the front, it look cleaner than the first premise but actually there is a puddle in front of the premise which full with maggots.
The same procedure as the first premise being conducted and I just watch from the outside. I have had enough with the first premise - the smell, the view.
The enforcement officers took the same action as this second premise did not have any license. However, they didn't take away any machines. They just paste the notice to stop the premise operation and close it.
While doing the inspection on both premises, there is some public reached there to but chicken. Some of them just turn around after seeing what is happening and some asked what is happening.
I do feel sympathy on the premise owner as their business is being shut down especially the second premise but thinking it all back, it is fair enough as they didn't take the issue of premise's hygiene seriously.
The operation ended at almost 11 am. As soon as I reach the office, I jot down some notes on what Mr Fizi said during the inspection at the two premises. I somewhat still can smell the chicken odour. Look like it stick to my clothes!
Part II
During the lunch, I go to McD because there is lunch set offer for just RM10 - I get one McChicken, one fried chicken, one drink, fries and one sundae ice-cream.
I ate at the office pantry when Abg Hadi joins me with his lunch. I offered him the fries and we had a small talk. He seems to be quite friendly.
After the lunch, I went to Kak Wani to ask her about yesterday's bundle of paper. She said she will meet with Mrs Yati to discuss it further.
When we came into Mrs Yati's room, she said the list of documents which we didn't found yet should be in that bundle as she is the one who check them out.
My question is that, while she is checking all the documents out, why don't she sort then right away. Ayoyo!
Nina and I continue to check the document for an hour before we go to perform our Zuhr prayer.
After the prayer, we continue to search for the document we haven't found until 5 pm.
So that is the end for my D17
Do you really ok ?
This is my current breakup song.
P.S: the Korean lyrics in the first line is not complete
The memory of my part time work
I used to work at one of convenience stores every semester break. This time around, I couldn't go back there.
My co-workers are all resigned. The manager got promoted. The laundry shop that provides wi-fi is gone. All the old machines in the store being replaced with the new ones. New products are on display. Even the layout of the store is so different compared to the time I left.
No matter how much you like a situation you are in, it will just pass you by. Things change. The only thing remains is the memory. Sometimes, when I get a flashback in the back of my mind, it reminds me of how grateful I am to meet all those people.
Though they didn't teach me things related to my study, they taught me about life. I could see the world from the angle of their eyes and believe me, it is such a beautiful world with the innocent mind.
Internship Diary - D16
Part 1
The officers are all busy going in and out of the office. There is an audit today and lot of meetings. Maybe because it is Monday. The first day of work for the week.
My friend (Nina) and I knock Mrs Tini's door. We thought we are going to brief her about the IP. Unfortunately, she said she is busy and can't discuss it now.
We then get back to our desk. There is a lot of cases on the table to be sorted according to their subject matter. Instead of doing that, we go to Kak Atul to help her bind the agreement.
It took us 2 hours to bind all the agreement - maybe there were 100 of them. As we finished, we played with our phones. Stil refuse to sort the cases out.
Half an hour later, my friend started to sort them out. By lunch hour, we still didn't finish it up. There's still a lot of them.
I ate lunch (black paper fried rice). But my stomach still feel hungry. The amount of rice is too little compared to usual.
I write this post after my lunch with my friend busy updating her travel plans.
I'll post second part when at around 5pm.
Part II
After lunch, we discuss the IP with Mrs Tini for about 15 mins. It is just almost the same discussion with Mr. Fizi but in summarized facts.
I then went to toilet before performing my Zuhr prayer.
Around 3pm, I sat at the counter with Kak Atul handling all the fines and compounds from public.
Feeling bored, I went inside to find another administrative clerk - Kak Wani. She gave me a bundle of paper and a list of documents that need to be found in that bundle.
I invited Nina to help me with it. By 4:30- we only found half of the list. Seeing it almost 5, I already thinking of going back. I stopped the search and write this post instead.
Guess that is all for today.
ME
There are things I couldn't say. Through this, I wish people can see the story of me.
You may say i'm craving for attention. I admit I am. I want to be heard. My little voice demands the attention of the world. Listen me up. I also have things to say.
Sometimes, I feel tired. I feel weak. I feel unhappy. I feel lonely.
I want to write all those emotions so that other people can take motivation from it.
I want to rise. I want to change my life.
