The Yuna / Sveta hockey podcast you didn’t know you needed.

When Yuna and Svetlana finally meet at some event, they end up talking hockey for hours. They recite stats, list injuries and dissect teams. They mostly agree and even when their opinions differ they can accept the other‘s viewpoint as the second most-likely scenario.

All the professional players already left them alone, because those two are way too intense about hockey.

Shane makes a throwaway comment that with their knowledge they should be commentators. Yuna and Sveta dismiss the idea that any station would hire them, but hey, they could start a podcast. Would be fun.

By the end of the season they are one of the most popular hockey podcasts and Yuna asks Shane to find a different manager because, „Honey, we’re monetizing and I need to be unbiased.“ Sveta never had an issue with being brutally honest with Ilya so nothing new there.

I need Yuna and Svetlana talking hockey. Let’s be honest, they care more about the sport overall than the rest. They have the stats for the whole league ready and are able to extrapolate to the most probable result. The players are all about “my team is the best, we will win.”

Hot take: I don’t mind ‚disappointing‘ series finales. They often lead to more and better fanfics.

I just remembered that in season one Tamara outed her colleague to the jealous minor she had an affair with. Wasn’t she an absolute treasure? *irony off*

Sometimes I see a fic with thousands of kudos and I wonder why, when I hardly get through the first chapter. (No, I'm not a very picky reader)

And then I find a fic in the same fandom/pairing that has a fraction of the hits and therefore even much less kudos and am surprised how such a little gem got by unnoticed. This is one of them:

So Dawson shames Pacey for breaking up with Andie? After she cheated? And he basically tells him he is the one who stole the test because Pacey is the one too dumb to pass it honestly. Greatest best friend (not), again.

And Pacey forgives him almost immediately, again.

Eve: “Let’s have sex.”

Dawson: “Nah, I want to watch a movie first.”

I never thought about it, but could Dawson be on the asexual spectrum?

Genevieve and Gabin have this big sister/little brother energy where big sister (Genevieve) tries to give little brother (Gabin) tips how to improve.

But little brother needs the cool new guy at school (Tobias) to say the same thing for him to actually do it (get physio for his foot, stop fighting, etc.).

Why does everyone (and I don't mean the just the show but also tons of posts on tumblr) say that Gael wrecked Quinn's marriage?

The way I see it - and that might be a cultural thing - it was Quinn who wrecked her marriage by cheating. And what we learn is, that the marriage had already been a wreck before Gael came into the picture.

So why is he the one responsible? Sure, sleeping with someone married or in a committed relationship isn't the nicest thing to do. But he isn't the one who's responsible. Quinn could have said no. She could have separated, or filed for divorce before getting it on with Gael. It's not as if he forced her.

Jack can’t offer Cheyenne the job any longer because Nicholas survived?

So we forget that Nicholas wanted to retire anyway and got roped into another year by Jack? We ignore that he was looking forward to retirement and already ordered the dog?

Sure, let him come back and work himself into the grave. Despite there finally being someone who could take over. Or even better, have Nicholas show Cheyenne the ropes, allow for a smooth transition later on.

Show: this new development will be be very very dramatic.

Viewer: but couldn’t it be really simple because you mentioned two episodes ago …

Show: don’t you dare come to me with logic.

Yes, I love Tobias and Gabin and the way only they get each other.

I love the two walking breakdowns that are Jack and Genevieve.

Cheyenne and her determination.

Nicholas and his stories.

But the true treasures in Étoile for me are Mishi and Bruna. The way they connect with each other. Against all odds. It’s perfect.

I really love hurt/comfort fics. Only, sometimes I just skim the hurt to get to the comfort fast. Like, I know there has to be an injury for it to heal but I’m not in the mood for the bad parts I only want to read about it getting better.

Teen Wolf Sterek fanfic recommendation

I‘m usually not big with recommendations, but I just read this cute little pre-slash Sterek fic that I thoroughly enjoyed. It’s set in an all human kickboxing AU and is about healing after loss, friendship and finding your place in the world again.

Compared to other Sterek fics it has criminally low kudos and IMO deserves more attention.

While writing a Dawson's Creek fanfic (what demon did convince me it would be a good idea?), I ask myself why I'm even checking anything for plausibility when the show obviously didn't care.

Mr. McPhee thinks its a good idea to have the teenage boyfriend of his just stable again daughter pick her up from the mental institution where she spend the last months. Not checking with the doctors if this kind of surprise is a good idea and oh, while we're talking, let the front desk know someone's coming to pick her up. The boyfriend's leaving after school and won't be there before end of visiting hours. They then will be back quite late? Who cares? At least he doesn't have to take a day off and drive all the way himself. Bessie: You want to accompany that guy you were always complaining about on this trip and return home at whatever hour. Sure sis, have fun. Sheriff Witter: As if I care when you come home, son. If I need the cruiser today? Nah, why would I?

S3/E02

Does Sheriff Witter even need his car for work? The number of times Pacey is driving it around and not only in town. Picking Andie up somewhere a five-hour drive away? I’m confused not even other cops stop him to ask what he’s doing outside of his jurisdiction. Nobody can convince me that Capeside‘s sheriff’s office has such a wide reach.

But also in town, people have to realize.
