Cupids are born when humans die with a severe longing for love. This story follows two victims of The Great War who wake up as cupids. Tommy, a Canadian Soldier who enlisted when the war broke out and spent most of that time in the trenches on the western front. AbigaΓ«lle(Abi), a French-Canadian Nursing Sister who answered the call for nurses to work in the casualty clearing stations.
Dying on the battlefield, Tommy wakes up to a world he barely recognizes. This post-war France is a mystery as the 'AnnΓ©es Folles' or 'Roaring Twenties' uproots French society as Jazz and long forgotten optimism returns to the country. The Jazz age sets the backdrop as our cupids navigate France, completing mission, battling other cupids, and uncovering a nefarious plot in the heart of Paris. Armed with new weapons from The Great War, Cupids are preparing themselves as contracts become scarcer and scarcer.
Tommy and Abi travel across Europe while trying to avoid the trauma from their past lives. While their home country is thousands of miles away, someone's past tends to follow them anywhere they go. These Cupids come from a world of death and loss, to one of life and love.
This is my 1920's inspired Love-bullet fanfiction! I've been working on this for the last 6-months and am super excited to show this to you! It's currently at 15 chapters with almost 40k words.
