It was strange. He'd been there with her through this whole thing, but laying here with them now seemed like a whole different world than an hour ago. She still looked like she'd been through hell, but she was definitely looking better than she had. She was holding his son, their son, and had been basically since he'd come out.
"I feel gross," she muttered, still looking at the baby in her arms.
"You look beautiful." Julian smiled softly at her.
"Never will Lopez. And you know it." Julian kissed her forehead, before kissing her softly. He looked down at the baby in her arms.
He was early, a little over a month early, but he was declared healthy by the doctors and they were left to believe that. "Christian Gene, right?" he asked her.
"Christian Gene Larson." She replied, before sitting up a bit. "I think it's your turn to hold him."
Julian smiled nervously. He wasn't used to babies, or even kids. He couldn't remember ever holding a baby, and here he was, having to hold his own. And he wasn't even 18 yet. A lot had changed. He smiled as Santana placed the small baby in his arms.
"He's small, huh?" She asked, looking at him.
"Heavier than I thought. I still can't believe you had to go through all of that."
"Better than getting fatter with him in there." She muttered.
Julian rolled his eyes. "I never thought you were fat. And you'll be back to normal in no time. No more crazy pregnancy hormones soon, right?"
She punched him lightly, being careful of the baby. "Shut up Larson, and hold your baby." She paused for a minute, watching them, the two boys she loved the most. "Why did you kiss me?"
"Before, and just a few minutes ago. You're not with me. You're not with anyone. I'd rather you not kiss me and then flit back to someone else you know."
"Never could again." He looked at her, guilt on his face. "I'm sorry I hurt you so much. It wasn't fair. It's still not fair. And it isn't going to be easy...but I want to try. For you, and for him." He kissed her forehead again, until she pulled his head down and kissed him softly.
"Promise?" She asked softly.
