Replaying Call of Darkness and I have to say- the Kali series eats. Of course I wish the cultural aspects were more throughly researched prior, that would have really brought it to the next level, especially with accurate Hindu representation and features.
I do have to give the girls some flowers for this story because it is so stimulating and captivating. Funny story, I played the second installment years ago, probably when it first came out. I was so gooped by Kamal that he became logged into my memory. I ended up deleting the app because I needed storage on my phone but fast forward a few years later I tried feverishly to find it again after I thought about the story. I got the app mixed up with Chapters which (no shade) I did not like. It racked my brain for months until I saw an ad on tiktok for RC.
Like do you know how powerful you have to be for me to remember a random digital story on an app??? I have ADHD, diagnosed and prescribed. I really have to give them their big one.
I really hope for more stories like Kali and Song of Crimson Nile *but with better representation and research, please and thank you.
