“Hey, hey!”

Juniper called out cheerfully as they bounded up to Melissa’s side. Their tail flickered as they peered up at her. “Whatcha got there? Ya need help carrying those boxes?” They had been on their way to the daycare when they noticed her. Boxes certainly can be heavy, and if they were going the same direction, why not try to help?

Juni always had been one of the more social able ones, taken in the actual species of the monkey they were based on. Family and friends were important and they counted Melissa as such. And they were completely genuine about it, too. The nanny was good company, much as everyone else here at the plex.

Once inside the daycare they set the books down. “Do ya make your own clothes? Like what you’re wearing?” The monkey questioned before they glanced down at their own attire. It seemed makeshift, and completely different themed from everyone else. However the childrens drawings did help with the theme, in a way. All the rainbows and flowers, stars. They didn’t mind being a walking canvas. The kids seemed happy just to draw on something.

“Oh! I heard there’s an event coming up! Or is it holiday? D’ya know which one?”

it’s pretty simple, actually! if i click a pen repeatedly, it’s good and the sound feels nice. if someone else does it, i’m yeeting that shit into the sun :))

Juni still wasn’t worried, not in the slightest. Neither should Melissa. They looked up to her as their tail flickered behind them in a bout of excitement. Craft books would be fun. They always had neat ideas for the kids todo and of course the monkey joined in more often than not.

Though at the question they offered up a shrug. Juniper wasn’t a fan of chores but they’d do them. They’d simply rather do anything else, something that would keep their attention. It’s a reason why they often wandered to do something on their own or find someone to interact with. They were quite the social animatronic. They ignored part of what Melissa said in favor of thinking a few moments. “I can, I am one who helps but I need to be kept focused,” they admitted. Not a lie.

“What about you? All I ever see ya do is work.” They reached the daycare area then and at the doors, the monkey turned to face her. “You ever take a break? Ya aren’t overworking, are you?”

             ☀️  “It’s not a bad thing to need to keep focused. Sometimes I get a little ….’floaty’” The ginger admitted with a laugh. She couldn’t help it at times being with all the imaginations she catered to all day long. Being lost in her ‘think box’ also came when it was a task that would take a lot of time and would bore her. 

                    At the question the ginger seemed to hesitate at the door. Her fingers seemed to curl upon the wooden door , it looked as if she wanted to knock. There was a sharp pull of air and a sigh. 

                   “I have a few craft hobbies but….I can’t do what I use to love anymore. My body wont let me…..or well….it wont if I over tax it. Think it as ….they can’t replace a joint because there’s not a spare part.” It was painful to talk about even now. 

                     “Besides I like having busy hands and the Attendant needs me….” Melissa liked being useful and the praise she got from it wasn’t bad. Seemed that ‘overworking’ wasn’t really something in her vocabulary for herself.  🌙

The monkey’s head tilted at the pause, then the words. Body won’t let her? What did that mean? Juni wanted to pry, to know more as they liked knowing. They were the eyes and ears of the plex due to their gossiping nature they didn’t believe entirely was gossip. In the end they don’t like not knowing. This time They bit their tongue.

Melissa didn’t seem to want to answer anyhow.

Having just hands meant being occupied one way or another and it seemed the two of them had that in common. “So since ya can’t do what ya like anymore, have you tried finding something else to do?” Juniper prompted with curiosity, their eyes trained on their friend. without another word they opened the door instead, with the usage of their tail.

“Ya know if ya want a friend, I’m here for ya! Just come find me!” It was a promise. They liked Melissa well enough and Juni will talk anyone’s ears off. Or help with keeping someone busy.

How Do You Need To Be Comforted?

to be held.you need someone to wrap you up, squeezing together all the parts of you that feel broken. you crave being shielded away from the world, where no one can see you... no one can hurt you.

MONKEY NUT··

Juniper knew they were noisy. They were easily the noisiest animatronic in the whole pizzaplex, and only compares to a crowd of excited children. It’s how they’ve always been. They were somewhat aware of it, as they scampered about. The entirety of the mall was their playground, and bring so small and quick had its perks.

Until now.

A loud, started cry left the monkey when their tail was suddenly snatched up and they hung upside down. They calmed a bit at seeing who had somehow grabbed them. Juniper shifted some as the end of their tail wrapped around Freddy’s arm to be more secure, in case they were let go, to avoid being dropped on their head.

“Hey! You did catch me! How’d ya manage that, huh? Not many are able to catch me like you did,” Juni complimented as if they hadn’t just been spooked moments prior. “Were we playing a game?”

Oh how intriguing he liked this little primate already. Their energy radiated the same mischief that he prided himself on. 

Ƒ Ƒ｡ - ･:*:･ﾟ★, ❝What can I say it was more that I’m the best at hide and go seek!❞ A lot less so with speed but he managed to time it right and caught his luck just in time to grasp the monkey. 

He moves them into a safer position, not that they had not already had a good tactic there with their tail coiled around his forearm. ❝ Besides don’t underestimate me! I’m good at this game.❞ Yes they were playing a game. ❝Hey how about you go hide again and I’ll come find you again?!❞

It was refreshing to make a new little pal so quickly actually. It was a struggle with the rest of the glamrocks at best.

“The best are ya? Why don’t we put that to the test?” Juni offered up. They always thought they had been the best at the game considering their speed, smaller body than the rest. Maybe Freddy could be a great partner! They’re always down for a game, of course.

When the bear set the monkey down, their tail slowly uncurled since there was no need to hold onto him like that anymore. Out of habit, really. “Ya sure you don’t wanna hide? It doesn’t seem fair if I go again,” Juniper pointed out. They might be full of mischief but they did like to play fair. However if that’s what Freddy wanted, then they won’t complain.
