My thing about Scott Rudin is I’m aware it’s impossible to see a lot of stuff at the highest level of theatre because, as anyone in the industry knows, there are tons and tons of horrible people…. But! A producer is special because that’s MONEY that’s BUSINESS. He has employees and literally has a role in deciding content, awards, who gets hired. I cannot think of a position that should be scrutinized more. Like I get that you can’t be perfect in terms of avoiding bad people, but like it’s very clear Scott Rudin is a special case.
