Secret? What secret?

Jun was counting down the seconds. He had nine hundred seconds before he got to leave. Fifteen minutes. Fifteen whole minutes before he could leave, shower, and then go see you. Jun smiled at just the thought. He hadn’t seen you in a few days, he’d been caught up in work so much, and he promised he’d be on time for your date today. He was going to be fresh, on time, and prepared today. He looked up at the clock and sighed. Three hundred seconds. Five minutes. He could do this, just five more minutes. Five more minutes and he’d be able to leave.

Those five minutes went quicker than he thought. He was daydreaming about you when he heard Hoshi’s voice

“Good job guys, we crushed practice today”

“Finally, I thought my legs were about to give in on me” Joshua said, falling onto the floor anyways. Seungcheol was on the floor, stuck under a very tired, complaining Woozi. Dk was on the floor with Seungkwon, who was curled in on himself. On the floor, complaining about long hours, like always. Vernon was starfished on the floor, breathing hard, Minghao had his head on Vernon’s stomach, eyes closed, most likely already asleep. Jeonghan and Wonwoo were at opposite corners on the room, looking ready to just go home, while Mingyu was trying to drag Dino off the floor before he got stepped on. Oh and Jun was… gone?

“Hey, where’s Junhui?” Hoshi asked and everyone looked around. Where was Jun?

“Maybe he went to the showers, you know how he is about sweat and germs and cleanliness, and blah blah blah” Vernon said and everyone hummed in agreement. Eventually, the rest of the guys found the strength to actually get up, stretching as they did so

“Hey, does anyone want to go out to eat?” Joshua asked and a chorus of yes’ were heard.

“Someone make sure to tell Jun- oh hey, is that him?” Hoshi said, and sure enough, it was Jun. Except he was practically running to the door. Hoshi walked out, starting to chase after him, the rest of Seventeen in tow.

“Junhui! Junhui! We’re going out to eat, do you want to-” Hoshi never even got to finish his question before Jun answered him, loudly at that

“No thank you Soonyoung, things to do, bye!” Jun yelled before running faster out the door. The rest of Seventeen watched Jun get in his car and leave the building with confusion on their faces. Not only was this the fastest they had ever seen Jun leave, it was also the first time they’d seen him deny food so… vehemently.

“Does anyone know what ‘things’ could mean?” Vernon asked and everyone shrugged. Everyone then turned to Minghao, who had the same look of confusion

“Hey, don’t look at me, I don’t even know” “Well now I’m really stumped. Most of the time you know at least something about what he’s doing” Mingyu said

“You and all of us Mingyu” Dino said sassily and Mingyu gave him a sarcastic smile

“Stop it, both of you” S.Coups said and Dino rolled his eyes

“Whatever he has to do, it’s clearly important, so let’s just go eat, yeah?” Joshua said, really just trying to get to dinner. Everyone pretty much agreed, and said they’d just ask him tomorrow morning. They got in their cars, some carpooling, and just drove off, ready to go get food

Jun on the other hand was at your place. He had shown up maybe five minutes ago, standing at the door with a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine in hand

“Hey Handsome, what brings you here?” You had asked him when you opened the door. He smiled and stepped into your apartment, giving you a kiss on the cheek

“I owe you a date, do I not?”

“Guess you do” You had said to him, before pulling him into a kiss. A kiss that was still going even now by the way, five minutes later. Time had a funny way of just slipping.

Jun’s hands slid under your shirt, ghosting your sides while he kissed you

“Junhui” You said breathlessly when you pulled away. Jun, seeing your lips were no longer available, moved to your neck

“Hmm?” “I thought we said ‘date?’”

“We’ll get there, just let me enjoy this for a bit, I missed you. Been stuck in that godawful building all day” Jun muttered as he nipped at your neck. Yeah… you weren’t getting that ‘date’ anytime soon. “Speaking of that ‘godawful building’, how’d you manage to sneak out before they hounded you?” You managed to say before Jun nipped at you again. You grabbed at Jun’s hair, just carding your finger’s through it, trying to bring yourself back down to earth “Just ran out the door and told them I had ‘things to do’” Jun said while trailing up your neck. You tried, with no avail, to push him off, and decided to just surrender to your boyfriend’s needy antics “And I’m assuming that I’m the ‘things’ you need to do?” You asked and Jun chuckled

“You can be, depends on how the night goes” “Junhui!” “What? I’m being honest. After the date of course” Jun said, pulling away from you, looking over the small bites he left with a slightly proud smirk

“You’re insufferable oh my god” You muttered, pushing your boyfriend away from you, walking into your kitchen

“I love you too baby” Jun said, trailing after you. You grabbed down a couple of wine glasses while Jun popped open the bottle.

“I was thinking on cooking carbonara, I went grocery shopping just for you babe” “Well aren’t I special” Jun said with a small laugh. He took a sip of his drink while watching you move around your kitchen flawlessly. Maybe it’s just because he hasn’t seen you in a few days, or maybe it’s because he was already hot and bothered, but you looked good when you cooked

“I can feel you staring Junhui” “Good, I like staring at you” “Can you please be normal until after dinner, I want to at least make it to the food” “We’ll make it to the food, promise”

“No we won’t, you’re a liar” “I’m serious, we will, as long as you keep an eye on it” “I feel like I need to keep an eye on you. If I turn my back you might try to eat me”

“I mean… I would consider you a snack, so…” Jun said with a shrug and you turned around with a look of slight irritation. You pointed to a chair in a corner of your living room with the spoon you were using to stir your sauce “Go sit in the corner, now. You don’t get to come out until dinner is done. And I’m keeping your drink”

“This is literally abuse” “No, what I’m going to do to you with this spoon if you don’t go sit down is about to be abuse” “Can I exchange my punishment?

“Exchange it?” “I cook and you sit down?”

“…fine, only because I’m tired” “Of me?” “Always Junhui” you handed him your spoon, kissed his cheek, then pushed him towards the stove

“Don’t burn it” you said while sipping your wine “I won’t”

Meanwhile over in Caratland wherever seventeen is

“Do you think Junhui’s okay?” Wonwoo said out of the blue “We can not still be thinking about him right now” Joshua said while taking a sip of his drink.

“Well, he did rush out of there kinda fast” Minghao said.

“It’s always possible Jun had other things to do, he’s just never that… suspicious about it” Vernon said, taking a bit of his food

“Didn’t we agree we were asking him tomorrow? Which is why we’re eating and not hounding Jun about his whereabouts?” Dino asked and Joshua gestured over to him

“See, Chan is smart. Everyone listen to Chan, Chan has his priorities straight”

“Do you know something, or are you really just that hungry you’re not worried about Junhui?” S.Coups asked and Joshua look offended

“One, yes, I am hungry, but I’m not not worried about Junhui, Seungcheol. I just think if he was doing something that would possibly put him in some danger of some sort, he’d tell us. Clearly it’s not that big of a deal for all of us to be so focused on him. I bet you he’s having the time of his life doing whatever ‘things’ he ditched us for” And Joshua was correct. Jun was indeed having the time of his life being with you.

Jun, like he said, managed not to burn dinner. He put your plate in front of you with a small smile and kissed your cheek

“Dinner is served my love” “Looks good baby” “Well, probably because you did most the work, but I’ll take credit for it anyways” “Uh-huh, of course you will” “Oh hush, you love me” “Incredibly actually” you said, tipping your glass towards Jun and he blushed

“You mean that?” “Why wouldn’t I? Of course I love you Junhui” “I know, but… my life is so busy and-“ “And that has nothing to do with how much I love you. You could be the busiest person in the world and I could never see you, and I’d still love you as much as I do today” “You’re a Tiānshǐ, I swear” Jun muttered to himself and you smiled. You knew what that meant thanks to practice, but you wouldn’t say anything, not yet at least.

“I love you” You said instead and Jun’s smile widened “I love you too” “Good, now eat, it’s going to get cold” “Bossy and impatient” “Says the man who wouldn’t even let me in my kitchen” “Eat your food before it gets cold” Jun echoed you from seconds before, rolling his eyes at your little comment. The two of you ate, sometimes talking, sometimes sitting in silence, but the room was filled with love nonetheless. Jun did the dishes when you two finished up, while you got ready for bed. You were brushing your teeth when you saw Jun sneak into your bathroom in the mirror “You look good doing absolutely nothing and that kills me” Jun said out of the blue while watching you “Well hello to you too Romeo” you finished brushing your teeth, then gave Jun a kiss on the cheek

“Get ready for bed baby” “Why? Not like we’re going to sleep” “Wen Junhui!” You yelped, turning on your heels. Jun had a smirk on his lips and you pushed your boyfriend away from you

“Nothing is never normal with you, I swear” “I love you too” Jun said, finally actually getting ready for bed… (not really)

Jun walked into practice with the biggest fucking smile he had ever worn in his life. He had a dinner date with his boyfriend, he spent the night, and you two were able to have coffee together this morning. He wanted you to go back to sleep, but you insisted on staying awake to make coffee and drink it with him. It was an ungodly hour of the day, you absolutely should have gone back to sleep, but you were too stubborn and wanted to spend the morning with him. After finishing your small little cup of coffee, Jun practically dragged you back to your bed, tucked you in, placed a soft kiss to your head, and then promised you he’d be back tonight

“I’ll be back tonight, okay? Promise” “Mmm… if you say so”

“I do say so, and I mean it. Get some sleep love” Jun said, giving you one more soft kiss before walking out your place. He drove to practice with a smile on his face, not really believing he managed to spend an actual night with you. And now we’re back in the present. With Jun walking into their practice room, smile on his face… and then being blocked by a group of twelve grown men.

“Can I… help you? Why exactly are you blocking me from entering our own practice room?” “We have questions” Woozi said, leading the charge. Jun looked down at Woozi and cocked his eyebrow

“And that means I need to get blocked from entering?” “Yes, because we know you’ll just try and start practice, ignore us the whole time, and then leave without answering our questions if we let you in that building” Seokmin said leaning on the doorframe. Jun let out a sigh, a very heavy and very irritated sigh. Leave it up the twelve man-children to ruin his good mood

“Okay, fine, questions, be quick about it” Jun said and he regretted it immediately. A barrage of questions were thrown at him, too quick for Jun to answer “Why’d you leave so quickly last night? Seungkwon asked

“What ‘things’ did you have to do?” Wonwoo pretty much demanded “Were you meeting with someone?” Hoshi said

“Are you avoiding us?” Woozi asked

“Are you doing drugs?” Dk asked, genuinely serious too, and Jun, who at this point was stuttering through answers, choked

“Wha- no! I am not doing drugs Seokmin!” “You’re nervous, jittery, shifting from side to side, you’re avoiding eye contact, you keep doing this little thing with your hands, are you sure you’re not doing drugs?” DK asked again. Again, genuinely serious about his question. Jun almost thought he was joking, if not for the look in DK’s eyes. “Seokmin! I am not doing drugs!” Jun said exasperated. Joshua looked around the room flabbergasted over their lack of concern on if he was okay or not? And Seungcheol had the audacity to ask if he cared about Jun. Unbelievable. “Are you at least being safe?” Joshua asked finally, being the only one to ask about his safety.

“Yes! I’m being safe!” “So then what’re you doing?” S.coups asked

“If I’m being safe, isn’t that enough?” Jun said, getting more nervous now. Damn you Seokmin and you pointing out his behaviours.

“No, it’s not” Dino said plainly and Jun felt his walls crumbling

“It’s just… private, okay? It’s extremely private” “Nothing is private between us, I know when you lost your first tooth, was there when you first got drunk, and I know every single one of your passwords. And they still don’t know about that night in Busan. That’s bullshit” Minghao said and Jun wanted to slap him. Dino turned slowly to look at Minghao, glancing between him and Jun, an unreadable expression on his face, that had an undertone of utter confusion

“I… don’t even want to know” Seungkwan said, throwing up a hand, distracting Dino from the question he was about to ask

“Junhui, really, is everything alright? We just want to make sure you’re okay, we get that you have a private life, you just concerned us is all” Jeonghan asked gently, and Jun finally had enough and pushed through the human blockade

“Everything is fine, I said it was private, we have work to do, leave me alone” Jun said and Mingyu sighed

“I think we pissed him off” “No shit Sherlock” Dino said and Mingyu glared

“Stop. Arguing.” Hoshi said and pushed Dino and Mingyu into the practice room

“I smell bullshit” Wonwoo said

“I already said it was bullshit, he’s hiding something” Minghao said with a scoff. How could Jun hide something from him? It’s not like he’d say anything, unless it was life threatening. What could Jun possibly be hiding from him

“Earth to Minghao, hello?” Vernon said, waving a hand in front of Minghao’s face

“What? Huh?” “You were glaring at the wall and completely missed your cue” “Sorry, sorry! Just… thinking” He was absolutely going to figure out what was going on with Jun

Jun was irritated all practice, barely spoke a word, and ignored his members. Was he being petty? Maybe. Did they deserve it? Yes, yes they did. Jun was packing his things when Jeonghan came to apologise.

“We’re sorry Junhui, we didn’t mean to overstep” “That’s fine” “No, really, we are. We were just worried about you, but you didn’t deserve us prying into your business. If you say it’s private, it’s private” Jeonghan said, and the rest of Seventeen, who was behind him, nodded sincerely. Mostly. The exception was Minghao “Not for long” he muttered while nodding along with everyone else, playing his act up

“And what does that mean?” Vernon asked while Jeonghan was still trying to talk to Jun

“If he rushes out today, I’m following him” “Foll- what?”

“You heard me, I’m following him” “Why are we whispering?” Woozi asked, inserting himself into his member’s conversation

“Minghao’s trying to follow Junhui if he leaves quickly today” “You’re joking”

“No, I’m not. You’re welcome to come along if you’re so worried”

“Jihoon, can go, he’s short” Vernon said, then flinched when he got hit. He turned and saw a glaring Woozi and quickly corrected himself

“With love. I mean that with love. And it’s true, Jun wouldn’t see you at all if you decided to play stalker with Hao” “I’m going whether anyone else is or not, so hurry up and make a decision” Minghao said and turned to pack his things up

“Junhui, would you like to go out tonight?” S.Coups asked, calling out behind himself. When there wasn’t an answer, he turned around to look for Jun. Who was gone. How the hell???

“Where the hell did he go?”

“What do you mean ‘Where the hell did he go?’” Minghao said, turning around

“I mean ‘Where the hell did he go?’, he was just here” “Damn it” “What’s with you?” Joshua asked and Woozi spoke up

“He’s going to follow him to see what he’s doing” “Minghao!” Joshu said with a gasp and he just gave Joshua an unamused look

“You’re welcome to join Mr. ‘Are you being safe’” Hao said before rushing out the room

“This seems highly inappropriate” Jeonghan said, following Hao, along with everyone else

“Says the person following me, got it. If you’re coming, hurry up and come on, his car is still in the lot”

“This is going to go horribly” S.Coups whispered, but he couldn’t deny, he too also wanted to see what Jun was up to

“Are we following him on foot?” Dino asked “Yes” Minghao said and Dino groaned

“I think a car would be better” “That’s too loud, we have to be like spies” DK said with a laugh. Only he would find this entire situation hilarious

“Seokmin, you are so… entertaining” Seungkwon said to his friend and DK narrowed his eyes “What’s that supposed to mean?” “Nothing, come on”

“I’m still trying to figure out how he snuck out” Wonwwo said stumped

“He probably snuck out when our backs were turned, sneaky bastard” Mingyu muttered, shaking his head with a quiet laugh. Clearly Jun planned this

“Everyone shut up and run, he’s leaving” DK said, pointing and everyone took off.

Fun fact, apparently they’re the most fastest people on the planet when they’re trying to be sneaky.

They caught up to Jun twice, almost lost him once, but found his car again, then hid behind the bushes of whatever… apartment building he was at? Why was he here? “I knew he was meeting up with someone!” Hoshi said triumphantly and then he got hit by his members

“Shh!” “Shut up Soonyoung!”

“You’re going to gut us caught!” “Everyone shut up, the door is opening” Joshua said, suddenly very invested in their little spy project. Everyone turned to watch, and saw Jun nervously looking around him before the door opened. The group of children men didn’t see much, but also saw everything. They didn’t see your face, but they saw someone lean out and kiss Jun, and then saw Jun be practically dragged into your building, an extremely big grin on his face.

“That was a hand” Joshua said quietly, his mind trying to process what he just saw

“Forget that! That was a face kissing Jun” S.Coups said

“And he was looking way to excited to be dragged into that house” Vernon said

“Do you think they’re going to sle-“ “Don’t, finish that sentence” Wonwoo said, throwing a hand up, already knowing where Seungkwon was headed

“It’s a possibility! Jun’s an adult, mind you!” Seungkwon said,

“We all know that, doesn’t mean we want to think about it, that’s weird” Hoshi said

“Oh my god… he’s hiding a relationship” Minghao said, sitting on the ground, his mind not all the way there. Between Joshua trying to process… life, Minghao trying to also process life and how his friend hid something like this from him, and the rest of the guys arguing, DK was just sitting there. He had a smile on his face. Like a child that knows something is happening, but isn’t too worried about what it Is that’s happening. Which is why he decided right then and there to open his mouth. “I got pictures!” DK held up his phone, and everyone stopped talking

“You what?” “Pictures! I got pictures of it. Good ones too, zoomed in and everything” “And you decided to say that only now Seokmin? Give- give me the phone” Minghao said, taking DK’s phone. Everyone crowded around Hao to look at them

“Not to alarm anyone, but that’s a man” Joshua said pointing to the screen and everyone looked at him

“Joshua… go sit in the corner” was all S.Coups could manage to say “On the ground? In the dirt?”

“Yes in the dirt!” Wonwoo said, throwing his hands up

“But it’s dirty, and these are nice clothes!” “Just go” “I don’t know why I’m in trouble right now, I was simply pointing out the fact that there is a man on that screen, who happens to be kissing another man, than man being Junhui, which means for who knows how long, Jun has been hiding a boyfriend. Hiding, meaning he may not feel comfortable telling us, and therefore we need to reflect on ourselves and make sure Jun knows we’re completely fine with him and his boyfriend. Unless he’s ugly” Joshua said with a shrug and everyone just slowly blinked

“Unfortunately, Joshua’s word salad makes sense” Vernon said and Josh smirked

“Am I ever wrong?” “Yes” Woozi said immediately “Many times actually” Dino said

“You were just wrong last week” DK said and Joshua’s smile dropped

“You’re all insufferable anyways

“So.. what do we do now?” Wonwoo asked “Go home and reflect on ourselves?” Mingyu said with a shrug, seemed like a good idea to him “No I mean about Jun” Wonwoo clarified

“Hope and pray he tells us about his boyfriend before we tell him about his boyfriend” Vernon said

“We’re dead if he knows we followed him” Dino said

“Extremely” Minghao said

“Can I have my phone back?” Only DK would interrupt a life changing moment like this

“Seokmin!”

“What!? I want it back” DK said with a pout, huffing over the fact his precious phone was taken from him. He was the one who took the pictures anyways! He should get a reward honestly.

“We have to hide these” Wonwoo said and everyone nodded

“I suggest we all just go home and act like nothing happened” Jeonghan said and Vernon scoffed

“Yeah, we’ll see how well that’s going to go” Oh if only he knew

There was something wrong, like, extremely wrong. Jun noticed it a couple days after all of them had their little argument. He kept getting side eyes, he kept noticing them whispering the corners, staring at their phones while glancing up at him. What the hell was their problem? Finally, Jun had enough of his member’s… mischief and decided to finally confront them about it

“What the hell is up with you all?” Jun said one day during stretches and everyone froze

“What do you mean?” Dino asked and Jun glared at him

“You all have been acting weird. Whispering about me, glancing at me, what have you all been saying” “Nothing Junhui, don’t be so paranoid” Minghao said, but Jun just glared. Finally, DK fessed up

“We followed you and saw your boyfriend

“SEOKMIN!” Everyone yelled at the same time, some of them close to hitting him across the head

“You.. you what?!

“We followed you, we saw your boyfriend, we’ve been looking at the pictures I took. We know Junhui. We’ve known for weeks.” DK said and Jun was still stuck on the fact that they followed him

“You followed me?!” “Jun, listen-“ Wonwoo started but Jun cut him off

“I don’t want to hear a thing from you! You followed me, risking not only my safety, but your safeties, and my partner’s safety as well. All of us could have been spotted, someone could have followed you, and then everything would have been ruined. They’d know where his place is, find him, follow him, harass him, some people would even have the gall to hurt him. Do you guys ever think?! About other people I mean, not just yourselves?!” “We were thinking about you” Minghao said, walking forward, but Jun took a step back

“No, Minghao, you weren’t. You were thinking about yourselves, thinking about how you all could slither your way into my private life, thinking about how you could make something I have so precious and dear me, about yourselves”

“To be fair, it wasn’t all our idea” Joshua muttered to himself, but Jun heard it and scoffed

“It’s not about whose idea it was, it’s about the fact that you heard the idea and went with it anyways. You all betrayed my trust. All of you. I-I can’t even look at you people, oh my god” Jun said and turned around, storming out the room. The rest of the group followed after him, trying to catch up

“Junhui, wait!” “Jun! Jun really, please just-“ “I don’t want to hear it. I don’t want to hear whatever excuse you’re going to come up with as an apology. Because you’re not sorry. You’re not sorry you did this, you’re sorry you got caught. If you were sorry you would have told me already. If you were sorry you’d have deleted those pictures. Honestly, if you were truly sorry, you wouldn’t have done this in the first place! So just please, leave me alone” Jun said before leaving the building. The rest of his members watched him get in his car and drive off in silence before they all turned to DK

“Way to go Seokmin” Minghao muttered and he scoffed. Angrily at that

“Don’t you get angry at me! This was your idea! He was going to found out sooner or later anyways, I just told him sooner rather than later” “You absolutely could have waited” “Oh and what, just wait until he maybe would introduce us to his boyfriend, whenever that may have been? And we all just pretend we didn’t know about it? Just lie to him for possibly months?! Don’t put any of the blame on me Xu Minghao, this is not my fault” “Oh you-“ “That’s enough out of you two!” S.Coups said, standing in between the two men

“That’s enough, everyone here was in the wrong, every single one of us. Some more than others, but all still in the wrong. So just leave each other alone and think about the actual problem we have on hand here. Aka Junhui wants to kill us all, he doesn’t trust us, and he’s gone. And apologise. Now”

“I apologise Seokmin, I wasn’t right to blame you for my actions”

“I forgive you” “Good, now apologise Seokmin” Coups said and DK turned on his heels to look at Seungcheol like he had gone crazy. Because what did he have to apologise for? He was right!

“What did I do? I didn’t-” “Apologise!” S.Coups said, pointing at Minghao and Dk rolled his eyes “I’m sorry for… whatever it is I did Minghao”

“Good, apologies are done, now where do we think Jun went?” “Probably his boyfriend’s house?” Jeonghan offered

“Well we can’t go there” Wonwoo said with a sigh

“Do we just sit here and pretend everything is fine until he decides to talk to us again?” Woozi asked and everyone nodded their head, muttering to themselves about how that was probably the best course of action

“So… are we just going to do practice like normal, or are we literally just going to sit around?” Hoshi asked

“We should all write apology letters” Seungkwan said

“Apology letters?” Vernon said, cocking an eyebrow

“Yes. It might not do much, but he’ll at least know we’re actually sorry” “Everyone go get some paper, we have work to do” S.Coups said, and with heavy hearts (and groans of slight annoyance), everyone went to start their letter

“Now who could that be?” You muttered to yourself while walking to your door. You checked out the peep hole and had to take a few seconds to register the fact Jun was standing outside your door. You did a double take, looking again to make sure you weren’t going crazy, then opened the door

“Junhui, what’re you- oh okay, hi?” Jun shoved himself in your arms, giving you a bone crushing hug. You shut your door with your foot, then walked backwards as safely as you possibly could to your couch. Jun immediately moved around so his head was on your lap and put one of your hands in his hair

“Junhui? What’s- what’s wrong baby?” “They followed me” Jun whispered. It was almost so soft you didn’t hear it. Almost.

“Who followed you baby?” You hoped to god it wasn’t fans. Internally you were freaking out, but your tried your best to stay calm

“The guys. They followed me weeks ago to your place. They risked so many things just to see what I was doing. What if someone followed them? Then your existence would be known, and I’d hate for anything to happen to you! They could’ve been the direct cause of our entire relationship just blowing up and-“ Jun let out a sniffle and you lifted your boyfriend’s head out your lap. He turned his body away from you so you wouldn’t see him cry, but you just went to sit in front of him on the other side of your couch

“You’re not hiding those tears from me, come here” you pulled Jun’s body into your lap

(which proved very difficult, him being six feet and all)

and let him cry. You don’t exactly know how long he was crying for, you just know you’ve never seen him cry like this before. When he finally ran out of tears to cry, he looked up at you, eyes bloodshot and a pout on his face. Even now, he just looked so beautiful to you

“You’re so beautiful” you whispered, brushing some of his hair out of his face “I probably look like shit, what is wrong with you?” Jun asked with a watery chuckle. You just shrugged and kissed his nose

“You’re always beautiful to me Junhui, no matter what you look like” Jun hid his face in your neck, letting out a whine, which you caught immediately

“Did you just-?” “No, shut up, my voice is just… sore from crying” “You did” “No I didn’t” “Awwe, are you shy Junhui?” “I will bite you” Jun threatened

“What else is new?” You said with a laugh and Jun pushed himself off of you, but he couldn’t help the small chuckle that left his mouth

“There you are” you whispered, grabbing his face. You kissed his lips softly, reveling in the small little sound Jun let out, before backing away

“What they did was wrong, extremely wrong, and I’m not telling you to forgive them-”

“So then what is it you’re trying to tell me? Because if you say you see their side of things, I’m going to smother you tonight” “Okay, violence, awesome” you muttered and Jun smirked. Yeah, there he was, he just needed a good cry

“I was going to say I see that their hearts were in the right place… kind of. They just went about it the wrong way” “The completely wrong way”

“Yes my love, absolutely the wrong way. Just give it a few days, you can stay here if you don’t want to see them, and then both of us will go talk to them”

“Excus- both?!” “Yes. They know I exist anyways” “But what if they like you and then they try to take you away from me? What if you like them? Then what am I going to do? You’ll want to spend more time with those idiots than me” “Never. I would never want to spend more time with someone other than you” “You say that now” Jun muttered and you laughed

“You’re so dramatic” you said, getting off the couch and going to the kitchen “I’m being realistic” Jun said, following you into your kitchen

“Uh-huh, of course you are. You want a snack?”

“Yeah, sure” “Okay, I’ve got crackers, I can make salad, we’ve got that weird tuna thing you brought last time, we’ve got- “I want the one I’m looking at” Jun said with a smirk. You turned around, noticed he was looking at you, scoffed and threw a pack of crackers at him. Wasn’t he just sobbing? Like, literally?

“You’re sleeping on the couch this time” “Like hell I am” “Yes you are, I do not trust you around me” “Wow, my boyfriend won’t even let me cuddle him after all I’ve been through”

“I’ll let you cuddle me, and that’s all I’ll let you do, now eat your crackers, I have work to do”

“Can I watch you?”

“From across the table” “Ugh, fine!”

“Thank you Junhui”

“I hope you choke” Jun muttered and you kissed his cheek before sitting back down in front of your computer “I love you too babe”

Four days later...

Jun had stressed Seventeen out. He hadn’t answered his phone in three days, hadn’t come to practice in three days, didn’t even let them know he was alive these past three days. They were starting to get worried. They almost wanted to walk to your place to ask if he was there, but they knew that’d cause more problems. Finally, on day four, Jun made his presence known. He texted them that morning, wanting to meet for dinner at their usual place. To say the guys cheered was an understatement. They all waited patiently at their usual table, watching the door every so often to see if Jun had walked in yet. When Jun finally did walk in, he looked annoyed that he had to be in the building, but he also had you with him.

He was gripping your hand, partly out of fear and partly out of trying to control his emotions so he didn’t drop kick one of his members. Jeonghan was the first one to notice Jun had come back, and gasped so loud everyone else thought he saw a ghost. But then again, he might as well have. Jun almost wanted to turn around and walk out, getting upset just seeing his friends again, but for your sake, he didn’t. But he really wish he did

“Junhui, I’m so sorry, I-“ Minghao stood, walking to Jun, and started his apology, but Jun held up his hand

“I’m still mad at you, all of you, but the most beautiful person in my life, besides myself, wanted me to forgive all of you and introduce you to him”

“Most beautiful person in your life besides who?” You questioned jokingly and Jun smiled at you with fake innocence “Nothing, my love, you’re the most beautiful person in my life ever, end of story” “Hmm, thought so” “Oh he has him on a leash” Joshua whispered, looking between the two of you

“I heard that” Jun said offended. You just laughed at what Joshua said and Jun gave you a look of betrayal

“It wasn’t funny, don’t laugh. We’re mad at them, remember?” “It was a little funny Junhui”

“No it wasn’t, Joshua sucks at jokes, don’t fuel his ego”

“I can’t believe you’re spreading lies like that” Joshua said, stepping forward. He held his hand out to you, initiating the introductions

“I’m Joshua, nice to meet you…” “Y/N”

“Y/N. That’s a pretty name”

“Thank you, it’s nice to meet you too Joshua” you said with a smile, shaking his hand, and Jun glared at your hands meeting. And he held that glare when everyone else came up to introduce themselves. When introductions were finally over, Jun pulled you back into his side, keeping you far away from everyone else. He had another chair brought to their table, sat farthest from Joshua, and the moved his chair to be say next to you. He cleared his throat and started the speech he prepared

“This is my boyfriend. Don’t speak to him, look at him, touch him, nothing” “Junhui…” you started, but he interrupted you “Hush, I’m speaking still. You all broke my trust, put everyone in this room in danger, acted like stalkers, and I’m still upset with you. What you did was wrong, no matter if you claim your hearts were in the right place. I’m choosing to forgive you, mostly, but we need some ground rules” “Is this a bad time to interrupt and say we wrote apology letters?” Seungkwan said, raising his hand

“See, they’re sorry for what they did Junhui, they even wrote you letters”

“I’m still laying down ground rules… but thank you for showing that you’re sorry” “Of course Jun. We know we shouldn’t have followed you, and we’re so so so sorry. To you and your boyfriend” Woozi said and you smiled at his apology. You nudged your boyfriend and whispered in his ear “Come on Jun, they’re sorry” “And they can be sorry for another week, I’m still upset” “That’s fair, but at least they’re sorry”

“You should listen to your boyfriend, he’s willing to forgive us” S.Coups said jokingly “No one asked you Seungcheol” Jun said and S.Coups leaned away from him

“Okay then, don’t mention the boyfriend, got it”

“That’s rule number four” “That’s only number four?” Vernon asked and Jun nodded

“We can discuss the rest of the rules, which I so graciously typed out for all of you, tonight at dinner” Jun said, taking a stacks of stapled papers out of his bag, and they were thick stacks of papers

“Those are the rules?” Wonwoo said, eyebrows rising

“Half of them, we’ll discuss the other half at a later date” Jun said, completely serious. Everyone turned to look at you and you shrugged. You’ve accepted this part of Jun a long time ago

“Oh bless your heart dear” Joshua said, giving you a sympathetic look. You failed to hold in a chuckle and Jun glared at Joshua

“New rule, don’t make my boyfriend laugh” “Oh my god, Junhui” you muttered with an eye roll, but he just kissed your cheek to make you be quiet before he passed his papers out

“So… do you actually expect us to read these?” Vernon said flipping through the literal book that was Jun’s rules

“Yes” “Oh you’re serious serious?” Wonwoo said flabbergasted

“Also yes”

“None of this would have happened if we just stayed home” DK said to himselfand Seungkwon hit him with his papers

“Weren’t you laughing and calling it a spy mission?!” “That’s irrelevant”

“Oh Junhui, they’re funny” “No one’s allowed to be funny anymore” Jun muttered and his members gave him unamused faces

“In other news, Jun’s home, he doesn’t want to kill us as much anymore, we’ve met the boyfriend, and we’re having dinner, many things to be happy about right now” Mingyu said, raising his glass of water to his lips. You chuckled to yourself and grabbed Jun’s hand under the table. You leaned over to whisper to him while his friends laughed amongst themselves

“I think I’m going to like it here” Jun smiled at you. Maybe you could be friends with everyone else after all…. MAYBE.(Doesn’t mean they could ignore the rules though, those are still in place)

Author's note 2-3: 6,852 words! this was literally so fun to write lol. I really enjoyed writing this one, i love jun so much, ahhhh.

Author's note 3-3 also, side note, while looking for pictures of Jun, i got sidetracked by looking at a picture of minghao and genuinely those two men are some of the prettiest people i've ever seen in my life, HOW?
