11.21.16 - Chart of the Day - WEB
Haven’t had any time to write more on this blog lately. Anyways, added WEB here for record purposes. Will try to write more once I get more time.
11.17.16 - Chart of the Day - STI
Study purposes.
11.14.16 - Chart of the Day - PCOMP
PCOMP continued its slide down today. Unfortunately, PCOMP was not able to hold that 69xx zone support. It now drops to FIB 61 support area. If this does not hold tomorrow, expect PCOMP to slide further.
In this type of market, make sure you’re focusing on outliers - those that are not affected by these red days.
Crossing fingers for better days to come.
11.11.16 - Chart of the Day - CPG
A trade that has gone wrong into so many ways.
After they hype of Trump winning US elections, CPG broke out of 0.63 resistance and it closed the day at 0.72. However, everything fell apart the next two days.
Looking back at what happened on 11/10, definitely a blowoff happened. As much as I avoid looking at volume and focus on the critical price levels. One shouldn’t ignore blowoff signals. Buying the fear again at the close last 11/10 has proven to be lethal for this case.
CPG should consolidate now above 0.57 levels for its chance to bounce back to that 0.65 area where lots of ipits are there.
Experience gained where sometimes you have to really consider the nature of the stock before counting your eggs before they hatch.
11.08.16 - Chart of the Day - FNI
Story of the day as both nickel stocks’ prices (NIKL & FNI) closed strong.
For today, I’ll focus on FNI. Yesterday, it broke out of 1.30 resistance and price continued to break out of the 1.34 critical resistance. For the bulls, FNI should try to hold above 1.32 (100 MA weekly) from here on till Friday. With possibilities of it reaching TP at X.
Congrats FNIpits!
PS. Am trying to use Investagrams chart from here on as it is easier for me also to access in work than my Amibroker studies.
11.07.16 - Chart of the Day - X
So I’m back from vacation!
X has been the one of the most battered stocks for the past few weeks. It is now interesting as it approaches that red region near 9.00. Will it finally find support on this area or will it just die totally? Keep tabs.
10.29.16 - Chart of the Day - ALT
Bonus chart which I can’t afford to post.
After the trading suspension this week, ALT resumed with a bang and new sets of “ipits”. I have a big question though for those folks who bought the gap up - WHY?
Plotting ALT’s major resistance, it is clearly evident that the 4.2 area is a major one to reckon with (Check daily and weekly charts). Also, the stock’s trend is still clearly down. Attempting to buy on this resistance area is clearly suicide. Reduce your gambling mannerisms and study more.
10.28.16 - Chart of the Day - MCP
With the market reaching the lower end of the 7300 area, everything seems to go bleak. Gaming stocks, (which I’m currently bullish at), did not escape this wrath.
Looking at MCP, it reached a low of 4.02. With 20 MA, 50 MA, and RSI 50 support, I took on this trade and entered on this area. Buy the fear wins today as price closed 4.30 EOD. Market seems to be bound for a bounce next week. Let’s hope market listens as these continuous red days are not really fun.
PS. Will be on vacation next week so no blog updates for me. See you again on November 7. Good luck in your trades!
10.27.16 - Chart of the Day - LIHC
That feeling when you’re waiting for your trigger signal to happen but it only occurred on the day you’re busy...
Oh well, here’s LIHC. It broke out of 2-year boss today. Really worth watching if it can sustain this momentum from here on. Will there be a healthy retrace happening in the next few days?
10.25.16 - Chart of the Day - DMPL
Such an interesting breakout happened today for DMPL. This stock is definitely should be added into your watch list from here on. Will it break the boss resistances marked?
10.24.16 - Chart of the Day - ORE
Boring day today in the market except if you bought ORE last Friday. Mini-breakout with a hold at FIB 88.3% triggered this. ORE becomes interesting from here on if it can break above 1.07/1.08 (current resistance) and stay above 1.03.
10.21.16 - Chart of the Day - MWIDE
Since I missed yesterday’s COTD post, I guess I’ll post twice today. :)
Aside from PRMX, MWIDE is one of my TOTGA (the one that got away) stock. Currently, the stock is squeezing. Will we see a price close above 16.28 in the next few days? That would be our trigger signal.
10.21.16 - Chart of the Day - FNI
Stock of the day even. This is one nice example of a cup and handle pattern. Today’s gap though feels like an exhaustion gap although it still closed above FIB 23 and price still broke out weekly. If FNI opens weak on Monday, 1.15 should hold from here on.
10.19.16 - Chart of the Day - PXP
Whew PXP!
Entered the trade last Friday as price broke above 100 MA daily and 20 MA weekly. My plan for this trade was to hold this stock as long as it’s above 100 MA with target price set to 4.5-4.6.
Plotting the resistance, I know that 4.25 will be major resistance to deal with. I manage to sell some positions near this level and bought back again yesterday as it closed still above 100 MA and which for me I think was a retest.
Then today, the unexpected happened! Price reached my target and plan is plan. Had to ignore the offshoot and be happy that my trade was a success. I would have bought back though if price closed at 4.6. Let’s re-check again PXP in the next few days especially on Friday’s close.
10.18.16 - Chart of the Day - STI
One of the outliers of the market today is STI with its strong formation. Last Friday, it broke out of 0.72 strong resistance. Next resistance would be that orange zone. Break that we see green skies.
10.17.16 - Chart of the Day - MED
MED was one of my top bets for bounce play. Why? Simply because it was continuously dropping for 2 weeks now.
As I prepared for this bounce, I considered 0.70 as the best entry price as this has several confluence - 50 DB of parallel box, 100 MA daily, 20 MA weekly. One mistake I keep on committing was that once I get to buy on said price, I forget plan B. What I missed on this plan was to note that there’s another strong support at 0.64. Price even closed at 50 DB of smaller box (0.67).
Initial TP was reached last Friday at 0.83; however, that strong close led to a DAY 2 bounce today. Will there be a DAY 3? Let’s check tomorrow. :)
PS. Was supposed to post this last Friday, but guess it deserved this spot more today. Congrats to those who traded MED!
10.13.16 - Chart of the Day - WEB
Yet another bloody day today as PCOMP continues its slide down. A hidden gem in the bloody market was WEB. After breaking out of its current 50 DB (8.34) last Tuesday, it continues to go into a sideways pattern as seen in the minutes chart. For those, who can’t stand the volatility like me, whipping is bound to happen (#sadface). What’s interesting today is after holding on to that 8.34 line, price finally broke out of that range and eventually closed at highs. A show of strength tomorrow morning may lead WEB to reach that 10 area.
