So like, I headcanon that Kate used to hate Hot Sauce, until Keith convinced her to try it again, and now she loves it and is one of those people that puts it on really weird stuff.
🔫 — long range weapons
She knows how to operate and maintain them, and she isn’t a bad shot, per say, but at the same time she is most certainly not an expert, and moving targets, or targets that are really far away would pose problems for her.
7: If your muse had the opportunity to turn into the opposite sex for a day, would they take it? If so, what would they do?
Yes, because being a guy instead of a girl would be an excellent disguise for her. While in the opposite form, she’d probably use it to spend a day, relaxing, without having to worry about things, because no one would recognize her.

Inside, I still want to be the HERO
What Makes us Human (Jupiter and Leaf)
Jupiter tossed the large, purple, ball for Skuntank, and laughed as it hurried to retrieve it, pouncing on it in midair and clawing at it, looking proud of itself as it tossed the ball back and forth between its paws. Seeing the look on Skuntank’s face made her wish that she had time to play with her more often, like they had used to, back when Skuntank was still a Skunky and she hadn’t yet joined Team Galactic on it’s mission. Though, she supposed that even back before she had become a commander she wasn’t quite so busy.
When Skuntank was done with it’s fun, it returned back to Jupiter with the now deflated ball. She merely shook her head and grabbed the second ball. Ever since Skuntank had evolved, she had gone through balls like air. She tossed this ball even harder, and smiled as Skuntank once more rushed after it. It was then that she sensed someone behind her. She turned around, quite embarrassed and said “no, I was not just playing with my Pokemon. Why would I do that, that’s silly.”
Forgetting just what route she was currently on, Leaf walked at a leisurely pace. There was no sense in rushing, when she didn’t have a place to be. The only part she missed about being a regular trainer was the ability to travel on whim. Being a champion meant, having responsibilities. There wasn’t a “Sorry we’re closed” sign to be put on the door, and she didn’t want any challengers to think that she was too lazy to be there. Or too busy for that matter.
Sinnoh was a large region, almost like a large Viridian Forest itself. But it wasn’t as twisty. She had made a few friends already, and she was determined to make more. Looking around, she almost wished that she went home for this trip, then maybe she would accomplish something.
Coming through an overgrown area, she spotted a figure. Whoever it was, had been playing with their Pokemon. The act brought a smile to the girls face, and she loves closer trying not to disturb the duo, but move forward on her path. But the woman had spotted the champion, and with an embarrassed smile, she waved. But then was caught off guard by her trying to cover up her display of affection. Raising her brow, it peaked her curiosity. Why was the woman so weird about playing with her Pokemon?
"There’s nothing to be ashamed of. Playing with your Pokemon is a vital part of strengthening your battle skills. It creates a stronger bond between you two.“ Pursing her lips, she wondered when the last time she played with her Pokemon was. Not too long ago. But it was overdue. "My name is Leaf! And you are?”
Jupiter shook her head at the other girl’s words. If only it were so simple as that. Still, she had heard of Leaf, and if she remembered correctly, then the girl was the current champion of Kanto, so she could not afford to mess up this interaction with her. She looked over the girl for a moment, and tried to think about what she knew. In all honesty, she looked like she was a bit naive.
Though, she was also a champion, so appearances could be deceiving. And, if rumors were true, she had battled and defeated many of Team Rockets best. But, being a force for good often seemed to equate to a lack of understanding. Still, she’d give the girl, Leaf, the benefit of the doubt for the moment and try to explain.
“Be that as it may be, many people do not agree with you” she began carefully, speaking every word deliberately. “And they see strong bonds with their Pokemon as weaknesses to be exploited, or sore spots to be poked. In my experience, it’s best not to give them the chance” here she paused, debating whether or not to give Leaf her name, before deciding that there was a very small chance that she would have heard of Team Galactic, and by extension, her, so she said “you can call me Jupiter.”

City Viewing [Seraphina + Jupiter]
Jupiter looked to check the damage on Skuntank, in order to see how powerful it was. While not nearly as experienced as Skuntank, she had to hand it to the Floatzel. It clearly had a lot of potential. Hmmm….This wasn’t meant to be team business, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t make it team business. Shaking away the thought as ridiculous, she shouted “Skuntank, use Smokescreen” to her Pokemon with a smirk.
“Let’s see how well you do when you can’t see” she shouted to Seraphina with a smirk as she slipped on a pair of glasses she used specifically for times like this, that allowed her to see through the thick, permeating, smoke that covered the entire field, blocking the visibility of both Pokemon and trainer on the other side.
Seraphina and Riv coughed, with the trainer trying to somehow fan the thick smoke away. “Riv, stay calm! Use Agility!” The Floatzel did as told, and the swimmer bit her lip. How was she was supposed to counter this? The smoke was far too thick, and the blonde could barely see even her own Pokemon!
“Riv, stay on your guard!” She warned, narrowing her eyes as if her gaze could pierce the dark smoke. “Dangit… Riv! Use Aqua Jet!” The Floatzel attempted to attack, but he missed the other Pokemon completely, disorienting himself in the process.
“Riv! Riv, that wasn’t a hit!” Seraphina could at least tell that much as she clenched her fists, the stress of this battle starting to weigh down on her shoulders.
Jupiter laughed as the floatzel missed her Skuntank, and at the panic she had caused. She had forgotten how much fun battling was when it wasn’t an important matter. “And here I thought you’d be a challenge, however small” Jupiter taunted her opponent, while deciding which move to use. She could have Skuntank stay close and use poison jab, possibly poisoning her opponent, or she could accept a low damage dealing move and stay farther away.
“Skuntank” she commanded her Pokemon, deciding on the more effective move, type-wise, “use Poison Jab and then fall back.” The Pokemon obeyed at once, rushing the Floatzel and preparing to hit it as hard as it could, hoping to poison in addition to damaging the Pokemon.
Early to Rise
Jupiter smiled at Wikstrom, a bit unsure of herself. Which immediately snapped her back. She was not unsure of herself, ever. And that was not about to change. So, she shook away the fog she was currently experiencing and said, “yes, well, Skuntank is a nocturnal Pokemon by nature, so I am not sure it would be fair to her.”
“Sinnoh is a rather nice place, isn’t it? I’ve always liked it, especially by Sunnyshore city” she said with a smile Any chance she got to talk up her home region was one which she would gladly take. “As for your offer of coffee, I’m not sure I could say no to that, even if I wanted to. Caffeine is the best way to start the day, in my book.”
He began his journey forward, confidence and a smile radiating from his now glowing form. The sun’s first rays bathed the horizon in a soft light. The sun…a beacon of hope for every warrior. Turning his attention to his new comrade, he beamed. One so invested in their homeland, it filled him with vigor for his own home.
“Ah, yes, a nocturnal creature. They are strange, but perhaps that is only because humans are bound to wander the fields at daybreak. We may truly never reach that understanding. Aha! But that should not dissuade us!” He paused, taking in a mighty breath. “I must journey to Sunnyshore to witness thy beauty. Coffee, indeed, such a truly magical substance. The nearest stead lies just ahead. Madame Jupiter, what brings you to this fine land?! Doth the thrill of foreign strike thee?”
Jupiter smiled again as she watched him. He seemed so happy and carefree, despite seeming confident and responsible. She didn’t see how it was possible, wasn’t being both a contradiction? It was...Disconcerting in a way, but at the same time, oddly fulfilling. She wanted to see more of it, of this anomaly.
“It really is a beautiful place. Especially the coastline when the tide is at it’s highest” she said, reminiscing about when she was a young trainer, adventuring there for the first time. “As for why I am here” she said, pausing to think about it for a moment. What could she say about her purposes that weren’t incriminating? Finally, she settled on “oh, I’m on business. I work in energy you see, as a high-ranking manager, and my boss wanted me to look into some of the technology used here.”
Okay guys, so, listen up. Because tomorrow’s my birthday, I’m going to give everyone a present in the form of a starter. Just like this post. Like it on all your characters if you have multiple. Like it if we already have a thread going. Like it if, whatever. No limit, just starters. (Plus, an excuse for me to spend an extra hour or five roleplaying.)
City Viewing [Seraphina + Jupiter]
“Would I have said I wanted one if I didn’t” Jupiter asked rhetorically, before shrugging and saying “well, no matter. I’m sure you’ll be fun to defeat, way. Now then” she said with a grin, “let’s go Skuntank!” before releasing the Pokeball. Skuntank stepped out with a smirk that matched it’s trainer’s, before clawing at the air in front of Riv.
“And, just because I’m nice” Jupiter said, “I’ll even let you go first” though, of course, as she watched the aquatic duo, she was already formulating possible attacks and counterattacks that they could use. Either way, she was ready to win, otherwise she wouldn’t have issued the challenge.
That level gap was going to be a challenge, Seraphina noted, and she bit her lip as Riv let out another battle cry. “You’re gonna regret giving up the first move!” Her eyebrows furrowed, and she looked at her Floatzel. “Okay, Riv, Use Aqua Jet!” Water quickly materialized and cloaked the Floatzel, and in an instant it was in the Skuntank’s face, slamming into the Pokemon. Seraphina grinned, confident this battle was going off on the right foot.
Riv returned in front of his trainer, it’s eyes narrowed and focused on the Skuntank. Seraphina mused that Riv could possibly be faster then Skuntank, but that the other Pokemon more then likely had a higher defense then Riv. She had faith in her Pokemon, but did she pick a fight with the wrong person?
Jupiter looked to check the damage on Skuntank, in order to see how powerful it was. While not nearly as experienced as Skuntank, she had to hand it to the Floatzel. It clearly had a lot of potential. Hmmm....This wasn’t meant to be team business, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t make it team business. City Viewing [Seraphina + Jupiter]
Jupiter rolled her eyes. Though she admired the fact that the girl actually attempted to give a retort, rather than simply take it laying down like a few of her targets did, it really could use some work. “You know, it wasn’t actually a joke. Of course, I wouldn’t expect someone like you to realize that.”
At the broken mirror comment, Jupiter merely smirked. “Yes, well, at least I have a mirror to break. With how clumsy you are, you probably have a lot of broken glass around your house. Though of course, that would explain the hair” she said, once more rolling her eyes. “As for the way to the Pokemart… I suppose I could show you” it was then that Jupiter got an idea. Skuntank was getting anxious, and she was as well, for that matter. “If you can beat me in a Pokemon battle. Right here, right now.”
The blonde swimmer grit her teeth together. Man, this grandma was really annoying. She sucked at retorts, and when she was metaphorically thrown into the ground by this woman, her face turned even more red. “Shut up!” She half-growled, his hand gripping Riv’s Pokeball. “Yeah, a Pokemon battle’s what you want?!” Granted, she would be at a disadvantage in the city, since two of her Pokemon would be unable to battle, but it wasn’t as if Seraphina thought of that when she released her Floatzel, Riv.
“Alrighty then, grandma, let’s play this game, then.” The blonde grinned as Riv let out a battle cry. “I dare you to fight me, come on!” Riv started to get a little puffed up, getting ready for the battle that was not but a few moments away.

City Viewing [Seraphina + Jupiter]
Jupiter scoffed at that. “A little disorientated? I’m not sure you know right from left right now. Not that I’m surprised” she said with a smirk. “I guess what they say about blondes really is true. More beauty than sense… Though looking at you…Maybe you just have neither.” So, while she may be doing her whole good samaritan act, she didn’t have to be nice while doing it.
Either way, she might as well finish what she started, before the girl accidentally wandered into headquarters or something. While the girl mysteriously going missing wouldn’t be that big of a tragedy, too many disappearances and the police could get involved, so, she said “either way. Where are you going? I want to make sure my stopping to help wasn’t completely pointless.”
Seraphina gripped the map tightly, returning it to her bag. Her face turned a new shade of red at the joke, and from the way this woman spoke, it wasn’t a lighthearted jab. Standing up, the girl turned to face Jupiter, her lips pressed into a frown. “I know my left and right, thank you very much. What are you, in elementary school? That joke is so old.” That made the swimmer feel better, at least, but honestly she felt like a Magikarp out of water without the sea nearby.
Either way, she crooked an eyebrow at this woman. “At least the mirror didn’t break when I looked in it this morning.” Granted, the blonde was never the best at comebacks, but that was always a favorite line she had heard thrown around at school way back when. “Anyways, grandma, which way to the PokeMart? I need to get some stuff there.”

Early to Rise
She smiled despite herself at the man’s, Sir Wikstrom as he called himself, reply. It was a small smile, but a smile all the same. She turned to him, and took in the armor he was wearing, and trying to figure out why his appearance and name sounded so familiar to her. Camphrier was in Kalos, so maybe he was a gym leader from that area. Well, whatever the case, she would remain vigilant, though she wasn’t too concerned.
“Perhaps not. Though, I’m not sure I’d like to come out here without my Skuntank every day. She hates waking up in the morning even more than I do, and I didn’t have the heart to try very hard to wake her up. Though, I do believe I will try coming out in the morning more often” she said, feeling strangely…Happy… With the thought of doing so. “But anyways, Sir Wikstrom, I am referred to as Jupiter, from Jubilife City.”
The knight smiled fondly, sheathing the blade to his hip. There would be no such need for a sword, after all his morning routine would be completed. Wikstrom gazed upon the smile, even though small, was a smile nonetheless. It ignited a mighty flame in his soul, much like the sun set the horizon ablaze. The woman was pleasant, someone he would enjoy having pleasantries with, over a steaming cup of coffee.
“Aha, excellent! I see, your trusted companion enjoys slumber. I remember a morning long ago, my Aron, enjoyed slumber quite a bit. It merely takes many months to train and form new habits. By no means, an easy feat, but one that can be done!” He paused, nodding to her. Ah, she hailed from Sinnoh, a mighty fine countryside. He could remember racing through the open fields, off in conquest for adventure. “It is my pleasure to meet you, Madame Jupiter. Jubilife, ah yes Sinnoh, a mighty fine region. Would you fancy to accompany me for a morning coffee? I know for certain that it is a glorious way to start the morning!”

Caffeine is the best way to start the day, in my book.”
City Viewing [Seraphina + Jupiter]
Jupiter was glad to be back in Veilstone city, and was walking back to headquarters when she saw a blonde girl wearing a sundress, who was clearly lost. Having just gotten back from Jubilife, she was stressed, and taking great pleasure in watching the girl wander in circles, with no clue where she was or where she was going. It was actually rather amusing to watch.
Still, she supposed that she could take pity on the girl, so she said to her, standing right behind her with her arms crossed, hoping that maybe she could freak her out a bit, unobservant people all needed reality checks, and she was more than happy to help out with that endeavor, “you’re in Veilstone city. And” she said, a bit amused “you’re clearly lost. Pitifully so.”
Seraphina jumped at the sound of another person, quickly getting a grip on the map before swinging her head around. She didn’t seem to recognize the woman, but maybe she recognized her? Was she even talking to her?
Biting her lip, the blonde looked back at the map, frowning. Veilstone City, huh? That seemed about right, Seraphina mused, and she glanced back at Jupiter. “Ahh, Veilstone? Well, thanks.” Her cheeks turned red at the accusation of being lost, however, and she just huffed as she turned away. “J-Just a little disoriented, that’s all.” Her lips pressed into a tight frown. She got embarrassed quite easily.
Jupiter scoffed at that. “A little disorientated? I’m not sure you know right from left right now. Not that I’m surprised” she said with a smirk. “I guess what they say about blondes really is true. More beauty than sense... Though looking at you...Maybe you just have neither.” So, while she may be doing her whole good samaritan act, she didn’t have to be nice while doing it.
