Ok but I’m still not over this after a week. Yes boatsex was amazing but JON SNOW.
This is the man who isn’t afraid to head into battle, and is willing to die for his people if needed. He is a trained soldier. He has already died. What is there left to fear or be wary of?
Here are a few examples of Jon Snow casually facing his own death without hesitation:
Here, he’s going solo against Ramsay WITHOUT EVEN A WEAPON.
And let’s not forget his first encounter with a white walker. Let alone the countless other times.
When it comes to the Dragon Queen, it’s a completely different story.
He can’t even look her in the eye, knowing that he’s let her down.
Look at him. He looks like a kid who knows he’s about to be scolded. He’s faced DEATH and ICE ZOMBIES and BLOODTHIRSTY WILDLINGS and yet it’s his Queen’s disappointment that he can’t handle.
And yet watch how he softens when she smiles.
Look at how anxious he is about knocking on his Queen’s door. He has to visibly take deep breaths to muster the courage as he knows this will change everything.
And even when he readies his hand to knock, there is STILL some hesitation. THIS is what frightens him. Potential rejection by Daenerys. The consequences of a romance. The love that he feels for her.
And that little dip of his head after he knocks? It’s a moment of Ok, it’s done, it’s happening, now I wait. And you can still see how anxious he is.
And then when he gets what he wants and they get intimate, he has to lean back a moment, just to process that this is actually happening. That she hasn’t rejected him. That she wants him too. This moment is real. She is real. That they’re connected beyond just a successful military alliance. And it floors him.
And these are only a couple of gifs from the last episode. I could sit here and put up all the gifs of the way he has looked at her this season and just stare at them for the next 3 days.
Jon Snow is so totally whipped and love. Antis who say there is no chemistry, or that it’s clear that he’s manipulating her need to stop drinking that Kool-Aid. This is not a man who loves another. Or does not care for her. This is a man who values his Queen, respects her and cares about her opinion. Not one who is playing her.
So let’s just continue to laugh at the antis who can continue to cry and attempt to ruin Jon’s character.
