Monster of the Day #1318 Pillow Turtle Monster! It's National Lazy Day today (why is that a thing?) - if I really was in the spirit of celebrating I would've skipped painting, but I'm not about to break my streak now - instead I went with a cuddly pillow turtle monster! Monster of the Day #1317 Wooden Rhino Monster! I know I've been hitting the plant/nature theme kind of hard lately - I was gonna give it some time before the next one but then I had the idea for this guy today and couldn't wait! Monster of the Day #1316 Watermelon Koala Monster! It's no secret that I love drawing fruit monsters, but I especially love doing watermelons - love the two-toned pattern! Monster of the Day #1315 Toucan Whale Monster! I was thinking it's been a long time since I've done a normal, non-hybrid whale (last ones were beach ball, moose and planet Earth/hybrids!) - I was working on that when I stumbled across the parrot/whale monster I made last summer and thought it needed a friend. So my normal whale suddenly became another hybrid. Monster of the Day #1313 Plant Raccoon Monster! Or maybe its more of a cat monster? The intention was a raccoon, but as in all creative endeavorers, intentions are more of a rough roadmap than a step-by-step. Really, its remarkable sometimes how you can be holding the pencil and paintbrush and still not be fully in charge - art's gonna art! Monster of the Day #1314 Stressed Chipmunk Monster! So fun story - bought a used car from a private seller last week. It worked fine for a couple of days and now is basically undrivable already. Stress levels are understandably high right now, so I thought I'd channel them into today's spirit animal, a worn-down chipmunk. Monster of the Day #1312 Cookie Moon Monster! Remember last week when I drew the Cookie Jar Monster because Cookie Day wasn't until December and I didn't want to wait? Turns out today's National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day - guess I could've waited after all! Oh well, always an excuse for another one! Also try not to think about the fact that 1) there's something large enough out there to take a bite out a moon-sized cookie (shout-out to "The Tick!") and 2) he doesn't seem to care he's half-eaten and instead focus on how delicious he looks. Monster of the Day #130% Succulent Shark Monster! I almost let Shark Week pass me by without celebrating - that would've been tragic!
