elena loved being an elementary teacher. some days she left the school on an adrenaline rush, happy that the students would finally understand the topic that they were working on. other days seemed that a tornado flew around her classroom and she was exhausted. today was one of those days. she had just left the coffee shop with her fall inspired crafted drink when she felt someone run right into her. although she had saved her coffee from spilling, but that luck didn’t save his. “no, no, it’s okay, i promise. maybe i wasn’t looking either,” elena fumbled with her words, finally looking at the other. of course, it was a handsome stranger. usually elena was good with her words, but the words weren’t forming from her lips. “i, uh, i can get you a new cup of coffee if you’d like?”
“oh no please you don’t have to do that, it was my fault”, he says a nervous laugh escaping his lips. since his wife died he hadn’t even thought about dating or even talking to someone, so to say his skills were rusty would be an understatement. so as he stood in front of this beautiful woman, he was scrambling to figure out what to say or do. “um but maybe you can just come with me? if you want to I mean, maybe we can talk”, he pauses chuckling at himself, “sorry I’m a little flustered, I’m ezra and if you have time I would like to sit down to have a coffee with you. that is what you can do instead of buying me a new one if you like?”
