Putting parental controls on the TV or on video game consoles has to be one of the smallest ways to make someone feel little.
Now you have to ask your caregiver to unlock the TV to watch YouTube? Or to play one of your little games? Oh How cute!
Then you get to say things like:
"You'll have to give me 5 minutes sweetie, go wait on the couch I'll be right there."
"Aww of course you can watch some TV, what are you gonna watch?" followed by "Hmmm sounds a little too mature for you... but I'll allow it"
"There's a timer on your little games, you have one hour to play whatever you want! Isn't that exciting?!"
"I don't think so honey, I think you've had a little too much screen time. Why don't you go play with some toys or listen to music today?"
"You want to watch a movie? Okayy... but let's check your diaper first. I know you get really focused on the movie and I don't want any puddles on the couch."
Give it a few weeks and pretty soon, those simple tasks will feel like such a treat 😊💕
