has the fandom decided on a birthday for curtis like we did for adam ?

my personal headcanon is that his birthday would be on a holiday of sorts like both shiro (2/29) and adam (2/14). i'm leaning towards 4/1, but maybe 1/1 ? 10/31 ?? 4/20 ???

any thoughts ?

curtis has, like, stupidly pretty eyes.

they're this lovely shade of blue that, when the sunlight catches them just right, will glitter like the surface of the ocean just as the sun peeks out over the horizon at dawn.

adam and shiro are left breathless each and every time.

also me: spends the entire day thinking about florist & tattoo artist au for these three with adam as the tattoo artist, curtis as the florist, (and shiro as a firefighter !)

[celebrating shiro’s birthday together for the first time]:

a week before shiro’s birthday, adam and curtis brainstorm what kind of cake they should make for their boyfriend

curtis suggests a rum cake since shiro seems to like the beverage itself

adam, appalled: giving rum to an eight year old ? that’s just irresponsible

curtis, dumfounded: he’s turning 32 ?

it takes him another half a second to figure out what adam means

curtis: oh, he was born on a leap day ?

adam, already looking up a list of ingredients for the rum cake: yup

curtis, frowning: he must hate that joke

adam, face lighting up with utter glee: yup

they surprise shiro with the cake on the 29th, much to his delight

the cake turned out pretty well, and they decorate it with both a 3 and a 2 candle

adam laments the fact that curtis is a buzzkill and wouldn’t let him use the 8 candle instead

shiro, flashing a grateful smile at curtis: i love you

curtis only hums in response and gestures towards the cake, suggesting that shiro should make a wish

shiro thinks for a few moments before blowing on the candles

to his surprise, they don’t go out

he tries once more to no avail

perplexed, shiro turns to curtis to find the latter smiling at him and looking the tiniest bit apologetic, too

curtis ended up buying those trick candles that you can’t blow out

adam, placing a hand to his chest with a soft gasp and giving curtis the fondest look: babe

shiro means to give the two of them an exasperated look, but he just can’t stop smiling as they all laugh together

do you ever just imagine how curtis probably gazes at shiro and adam sitting peacefully on the couch in their house and thinks about how lucky he is to have these two fantastic men as his partners.

and then shiro accidentally sneezes on adam's arm, which leads to a disgusted adam trying to rub that part of his arm all over shiro's face. they get into a shoving fight and nearly knock over the coffee table

curtis and adam have Wine Hour at least once a week where they sip on their preferred beverages (rosé for adam, merlot for curtis) and vent about all the idiotic things they've heard or had to deal with at work. it's a tradition that dates back to their young officer days when they were just good friends who would buy whatever cheap ass wine they could get their hands on and just bitch about anything ranging from terrible dates to whatever rude thing iverson said that day.

to this day, shiro still thinks it's actually called Whine Hour.

earlier on in the relationship, adam and shiro would try to gain leverage in various situations by petulantly threatening to tell curtis about something downright mortifying that the other had done in the past.

examples:

"now, adam, i know you're about to eat the last slice of cheesecake that you know i've been saving, and i just wanted to say that i hope it tastes fantastic, honey. while you do that, though, let me just tell curtis all about the Vodka and Cactus Incident."

"i mean i do remember calling shotgun as we were heading out the door, takashi, but that's all right, babe, the seat's all yours. i guess i could just tell curtis about what happened that one time with keith and the hot glue gun."

curtis politely plays along and doesn't tell them that keith has already dished out dozens of embarrassing stories about the other two to him.

adam likes to call out 'babe?' or 'honey?' and simply watch as both shiro and curtis turn their heads to address him. most of the time he doesn't even need anything from them. he just enjoys messing with them. he also doesn't mind the little reminder that both of these gorgeous men are dating him.
