Hi fancy seeing you here. So update woo I'm on labour ward and I love it so much. Up to date I have personally delivered 2 babies now and it's such a brilliant experience. Today it's throwing it down I am wrapped up and working on my OSCE on breast feeding in which I have to offer feeding support to a woman. It's hard but it's so rewarding.

It's not all sunshine and rainbows. On studyblr you often see the picture perfect side of things when thats not always the case. Today I found out I failed my essay it's the first time it's happened at university and I'm gutted I really am I thought I did better than that. But I've had my cry and breakdown and now I'm being proactive and I'm going to make this the best essay they've ever read. It's not going to happen immediately but picking yourself up is really important but also letting yourself have that down time is important too.

Hi! So Its been a while but I've been settling into my placement area! I'm currently in community and I feel like I'm learning so much. It's sparked curiosity for more knowledge. So I'm spending my day doing that with snow falling outside.

Hi hi. So as you might be able to tell I'm currently back home due the the UK lockdown rather than being on my own at uni. I love my family but they're doing my nut it I've got used to being more independent 🙄 but a new module starts today! Medicine management let's go!

Hi guys this is an awful picture but you know 😂. So that cold I had yeah it was severe tonsillitis so I was really ill for a while and the antibiotics knocked me about. But the work still plods on I have so much to do this week so I'm having a work weekend. But please guys consider your mental health Im personally worried as my area has moved a tier higher into restrictions which means I can't visit friends so take a moment to check on yourself and take care ❤️

University Introduction

I’ve done one of these the past few years as I’ve moved from one stage to another so here we go again.

Hi my Name is Niamh and I’m 19 I live in the U.K. A week today i move into my university accommodation to begin my journey as a midwife. I did this with a mix of 2 a levels and a Foundation diploma in Health and social care.

I have no work plans at the moment as I’m moving around an hours drive from home with no car so hav to see where that goes.

I enjoy Kpop and Nintendo I finally picked up breathe of the wild and I’m making my way through it

This year is the result of 3 years of hard work and tears about to go into another 3 years of hard work and tear but I’m sure it’ll all be worth it (I hope anyway) they’ll be many ups and downs which I do not hide so let’s start a new year and a new chapter.

I’d also like to say thank you for 500 followers! Let’s keep growing and ill try and keep you all entertained throughout.

Hi guys. I'm am happy to announce that I have got into university! Starting September I'm am going to be studying midwifery. Its been a crazy few days enrolling and sorting things out. But we've been given a pre enrollment anatomy book to complete before I start. So much to do so little time. How was results for you?

I jsut finished this and I like it but I'm not sure how I feel about the ending. If you e read it what do you think? Hope you're all still doing well out there❤️

In some countries, they don’t understand what’s going on, or how it’s affecting the black community. Here’s my response. I wrote it in Korean for two reasons:

1. A lot of my Korean friends are ignorant to what happens across the world, and while we may be ignorant of what happens to them, some of my Korean friends don’t hold a critical eye to the events that happen here

2. The verb 숨을 쉬다 has two meanings; to breathe (1) and to take someone’s breath away (2)

George Floyd’s breath was taken from him as he told the officers 11 times that he couldn’t breathe.

I want my black followers to know that I stand with them.

No lives matters until black lives matter. When we neglect other’s lives and struggles, we let others neglect ours. Even in Canada, my home country, police are under investigation for shoving a black woman, Regis Korchinski, off a balcony and covering it like a suicide. Her own mother watched her die.

I’m even getting emotional talking about this. I don’t want to let social issues run my blog but to be silent is to be complacent. To be silent is to be a part of the problem. I refuse to let my platform be silent.

There are many ways to show your support. You can reblog this and say their names. If you are financially capable, you can donate to reputable charities and even George and Regis’ GoFundMes.

This is a PSA for my followers that find this message hard to read, my white friends, and others in between. I know that I won’t gain traction, but this needs to be said. I won’t even add hashtags because George and Regis’ life should not be turned into a trend.

Hello All, I would just like to say in the past few days I’ve let this picture into the world without realizing a MASSIVE spelling error. I had asked my friend to proofread and she gave me the phrase on the “original” picture, while I had a different phrase. She said that this phrase was better and more natural (and since she’s Korean, I took her absolute word) but really it was everything but. When I had noticed and a few of my other Korean friends noticed, I confronted her and her excuse was that, “I don’t know much about the situation, so I didn’t know what you were trying to say.”

I take full responsibility for the incorrect promotion of the Korean phrase attached to George’s name. The “new” phrase is the one I had originally and deemed most natural from my Korean friends.

I will leave you with another phrase spoken by many Koreans who ARE educated on the subject.

흑인의 목숨은 소중하다

흑인 – black people

-의 – possessive

목숨 – life

소중하다 – precious

“Black people’s lives are precious.” – it’s the colloquial term for BLM. Use it, spread it.

So we're done. I'm happy to announce that I'm am free from college. I have had my final result and I've got into uni! It's been a long year which finally feels like it's paying off. Hi guys sorry its been a minute I've not been in a good place as we have a family member staying and they've had to go in my room so I have no private space at the moment. So I've been working in the living room. As you can see I bough a matching keyboard and mouse from logitech and I'm in love. I may have alos bought some headphones in the same colour too. 😂 How are you all doing?

Today's work : finish off my unit 6 in which my teacher told me she lsot the will to live while reading it (thanks) and hopefully start unit 7 task 2. Quickly moving towards the end of the year! When push comes to shove hopefully it'll be enough to get into uni!
