AU where the Rainbow Honmoon chooses these three as "backup hunters" so Huntrix wouldn't have to handle everything alone (they're not the new generation, they hunt together with Huntrix).

How Huntrix finds them?

Same way in canon, they meet on the street, EXCEPT the girl in the middle tells Rumi about her birthmarks that look just like Rumi's and she was so happy to find out Rumi also had them!

The girls, of course, explain to her what it means and support her in telling her friends about it.

After that happens, the girls start looking for demons to learn more about them and getting themselves in trouble, and one time they're saved by Huntrix, and Rumi's like "If we teach you about demon stuff will you stop almost getting yourselves killed???"

And they basically take the younger girls under their wings.

I'm calling this AU "Huntlings AU" shxjshjd let me know if you guys wanna hear more about it :)

Back to this au :) Some info I have decided about the girls.

Bo-min

Her mother was a demon and she was born with patterns, but didn't know what they meant and always assumed they were birthmarks. She was raised by her dad, who also didn't know her mom was a demon.

When she gets "recruited" by Huntrix, she runs away from her dad because she was upset about him hiding information about her mom from her.

Her weapon is the ssang-geum (twin swords, same as Celine).

Mi-cha

She was a very lonely girl and Bo-min and Na-bi were her first and only friend group. Because of that, she has a crippling fear of abandonment.

She's actually the oldest of the group, but people assume she's the youngest because of her looks and personality.

Her weapon is the gakgung (bow and arrows).

Na-bi

She wants to rebel so bad. The only problem is her parents are actually nice and she doesn't have anything to rebel against.

Used to have anger issues as a child that have gotten better with time but still show up if she doesn't keep an eye out for herself.

Her weapon is the deungpae (shield).

Zoey moves her hand away from Mira and looks down at her with an apologetic smile. “Are you getting hungry, Mimi?” she asks.

But Mimi is, as it appears, out of commission.

She’s not panting hard, but she’s breathing hard enough that Zoey can tell that something’s happened, and she’s looking up at Zoey with that awed look in her eyes that she only gets when she sees a good plot twist in the K-drama that they’re watching together.

There’s saliva stuck to the side of her mouth, and in every way that warrants it—Mira is dazed.

The last thing Mira expected her new fiancee to do when they're sequestered together is bow to her.

"My deepest apologies for involving you in this," the heir to Clan Ryu said like a scolded child, with none of the strategic, conciliatory tones she'd come to expect with apologies, "But it was decided that it was for the best,"

"The best?" Mira scoffed, "The best for who?"

"Me," Rumi said bluntly, "Though the decision was made knowing your…reputation,"

"Then why stoop for the problem child who's made all her previous engagements cry?"

"Because I don't want to get married either," Rumi offered, smoothing her hands over her chima skirt, "But I know the duties of nobility, especially as the only child of a Spirit Blooded Clan, especially with my recency and power. Not getting married isn't an option for me, not really,"

"So I'm your cover?" Mira said, her hackles rising once more.

"And I yours," Rumi responded quietly, "You get out from under your parents' thumb, and neither of us have to worry about marriage anymore. I'll limit your public appearances, give you free reign of the palace, give you as much freedom as our station allows, and as for heirs…I know the rituals, I'll carry the child to term. I only ask one thing of you,"

"And what is that?"

"…Don't be cruel," the shake in Rumi's voice hit Mira like a slap. It was…desperate. Desperate in a way she was uncomfortably familiar with, when you wanted something so simple but had to ask for it like you were asking for the throne to the world itself.

"I know the position you're in, and I am…uncomfortably aware of the power I hold over you. You don't have to be kind, just, don't be cruel to my face," at this Rumi met her eyes, a thin smile on her lips and an air of desperation that made Mira's gut churn, "We may never love each other, I know that, but I hope I could make of you a friend,"

"We…we can be friends, Rumi," she whispered back, not at the Lord of Tanma, the most powerful Spirit Blood in all the Kingdoms, her sword already bloodied in half a dozen battles, but a Noble daughter whose loneliness is a mirror of her own, who doesn't want to be a puppet, who's offering a measure of freedom for both of them.
