Been reading hill house lately because Iāve been in a need of a horror fix. And I can not recommend this book enough.
Not only is the character writing fucking amazing and has some of the best female writing Iāve ever seen (which like duh itās Shirley Jackson). But also the descriptions of the house are so good Iāve started building it in Minecraft. This house just makes you so fucking unfortunately from just how foreboding it is, but also by how many extreme poor design choices there are (billard room that entirely being furnished in rose colored satin for no fucking reason sticking out in my mind) just makes the place feel so fucking wrong itās great.
Man if you told me like the concept of goodness was real and like a physical thing, and then told me the people who embody and have no evil in there soul are fucking monarch. Iād think it was fake too Iāll be so fr. Like sure the people hoarding all the wealth and living in luxury while there subjects donāt even have half of that shit are totally pure of heart because they either started from nothing or give to charity sometimes, uh huh that so sounds real and not at all like you are trying to say that monarchy is like morally superior or anything.
Look I donāt think it was worth nuking the world to create a better one over but I can see xehanort perspective on the fake light even if I donāt agree with it.

You know it sucks kingdom hearts never played around with different kinds of keys being used as different kinds of weapons as key blades.
A double sided key could be a war axe, padlock keys could be like daggers or throwing knifeās, car keys are a switch blade. Miss opportunity ngl
I feel bad for Sora x Kairi shippers. Like clearly itās the relationship that the story wants us to ship and like thereās so much potential there for it to be good. But like the writing refuses to give us anything. Like no hate to the people who ship it, Iāve seen some really cute stuff even if I donāt ship it personally.

Just started the rhythm game. And technically my friend is the one actually playing the games so I can only speak on story. But my favorite is definitely 358/2. The original not the one thatās just cutscenes. 2 is a close second. Then chain. 1. Dark road and birth by sleep go hand in hand (dark road made me like bbs a lot more and really enjoy eraqus a hell of a lot more). Re.coded. Dream drop. And then 3.
I donāt despise 3 it just was the one I liked the least. And I kept going back and forth on re coded. Itās just very inoffensive. Itās just 1 again. But got bonus point for putting bugs in riku. Dream drop was good. Until it wasnāt.
Update on this. Melody is after ddd and before 3. The longer I sit on three the more I dislike it. Itās the little things that make it feel weird and out of character. Like Sora feels more childish even for him. Same goes for ven, idk if itās really out of character but they way they choice to show his impulsiveness ended up making him feel like he was way younger then he was. Lea feels like all his rough edges were smoothed down. Saix would not go back to being a nobody that easy bro literally begged kingdom hearts for a heart while he was dieing, why is he back here??? For info??? Like I get he and Lea are still fighting but the only way I can picture him wanting to give up his heart again is if he has reached a level of self loathing where he views himself unworthy of a heart, which I donāt think they where going for.
Finished melody of memories. And gotta say didnāt really like it. Itās just another summary game but unlike previous ones (chain and re:coded) it didnāt feel like it added much other then kairi just summarizing it. Spoilers for the end of the game
They completely robbed kairi of getting a final battle with her memory of Xehanort. New Levels of sexism has been reached. And they robbed her of getting to help Sora. They just really fucked over kairi. As well as all that there explanation on whatās going on with Sora felt completely out of left field, Iāve been confused in kingdom hearts (cross was insanely hard to understand first go) but I think this is the first time it truely felt disconnected from kingdom hearts previous world building and lore.

Love how kingdom hearts will be like āXehanort is a mastermind that planned this all sense he was youngā but then will cut to Xehanort doing the most asinine shit that 100% was not planned but with the confidence of a god. Some might call that bad writing, I call it characterization.

I love yellow deltarune so much. Someone pointed out he might have ocd and I kinda love that because him as ocd rep is great. Like I would love some more serious takes on ocd that arenāt just āoh I need to clean and organize or else the world will explodeā. But as someone with ocd, this disorder is so amazing to mine for comedic purposes. It is so insanely funny whenever I look back on my ocd attacks and realize my brain literally told me āwhat if you did a bad and forgotā and my whole body goes into panic mode like that was even close to a reasonable thought.
So my family dog may or may not be pregnant (getting an ultrasound on the 13th but signs are looking good). And Iām just thinking about this one tumblr post of a dog named like āCharlie Kirk in heavenā or some shit that was like extremely inbred. I know itās a stereotype of breeders that they inbred there dogs, and I only know how Bernese mountain dogs work. But like my parents owning a pure breed show dog that my mom actually takes to show and currently is trying to bred, that is not fucking normal. There are records online of every show dog and family history to see is they are related, you fucking have to get two dogs genetically tested to make sure there isnāt an overlap. How the fuck did this happen, do you only have one male to bred with? Did you refuse to use anyone elseās males? What
