Jemma had to stop back by the labs on her way back from the gym. She had forgotten some files she had promised to look over.Â
Jemma nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard a groan from the corner of the lab. She hadn’t noticed anyone there when she entered. The girl was hidden in shadows of the corner. She didn’t recall ever seeing her before, but she appeared to be frustrated. It was a common theme in a science lab. Experiments failed more often than they didn’t.Â
She felt bad for her and decided to approach her and offer her help. “Would a second pair of eyes help?”
Gwen jolted in her seat, brandishing one of her tools as a weapon before noticing the wide eyes of her “attacker,” slowly processing what the woman had just kindly offered her. Clearly, more kindly than she might have deserved in that moment. Lowering her weapon, she cursed her faulty spider senses.
“Sorry about that,” she breathed out. “Normally, I’d sense someone like less than five feet away from me, but I guess today is just a bad day. But, who’s surprised?” she rolled her eyes with a laugh. “The name’s Gwen, and I’d be stupid to pass up an offer like that, so yes. Very much, please,” she rambled, offering her hand to the clean-cut woman, her long, brown hair swept into a neat ponytail.Â
