it happened accidentally, none of it was how either of you wanted to confess your feelings for each other this way.
it was a dark saturday night, you and wilbur headed out to the bars to bar hop and get some drinks. after the fifth bar, wilbur decided that it was time for you guys to head back to your place, since it was the closest.
you were stumbling, you’re not a lightweight by any means but you’re also not a heavyweight either, a sort of in between, you’d say. however, this night, you were drunk. there’s nothing lightly you can say about that.
wilbur helped you walk while you were babbling out, “you’re just so handsome wilbur! like i could just kiss you, smoochy smoochy lips.”
he laughed and shook his head. “oh y/n, you’re making this hard for me.”
you looked up to him, with a drunk smile on your face. “wilbyyyyy,” you pout. “i want a kiss.”
he sighed and kissed your head. “there. we’re both drunk enough to not remember this conversation tomorrow.”
you sighed against him. “i love you, wilby.”
he held you close as he opened your door. “i love you too, y/n. but you’re drunk and you won’t remember anything about tonight, alright?”
you yawned and climbed into your bed. “stay with me, will.”
he nodded and sat on the bed. “of course, y/n, anything for you.”
he held you close and smiled. “good night, y/n.”
you turned and kissed his lips lightly. “goodnight, sweetheart.”
wilbur turned towards you, groaned, and kissed you passionately. “y/n, i love you too. i always have, since the first day in kindergarten when you stood up and sung your abc’s till the day you die. i love you, y/n m/n l/n.”
you started to cry. “and i love you too, wilbur soot. since seventh grade when you stood up to those bullies for me and your adorkable squeaky voice, i love you, and i always will.”
