Okay last rant about season 2. All in all, the writers have their work cut out for them next season.
If the writers/creator didn’t want Brio and only did it for the fans, they could’ve just kept things light and flirty like they were in season one and certain parts of season 2. But don’t have them sleep together, have Rio do multiple grand gestures for Beth, and have him constantly touching her and then pretend like none of it meant anything to him so you can do a rush job of “breaking them up” and then try to justify it as “Rio was just using Beth” when she’s been the one using him just as much, if not more. I would’ve been fine with things staying platonic between Brio and them having typical arguments and growing pains that come with working together, but ultimately them having each other’s back.
I was a huge Brio fan, but I can remove my bias and say DEAN IS THE FUCKING WORST! I feel cheated because Beth regressed back into his quiet little lap dog. I don’t even have to have Brio, but I need Beth to be done with him. He has zero redeeming qualities.
I feel cheated out of Boomer and Mary Pat getting killed like they deserve.
I feel cheated out of Rio’s POV because Jenna’s shitty explanations fall flat since there is no evidence to back up what she says about him.
