コールミー・バイ・ノーネーム Call Me By No Name (2025) | EP 4 dir. Eda Yuuka
Megumi picking out outfits for her date from her pink -> red clothing was adorable in the third episode of Call Me by No-Name.
But her trying to figure out if she should wear No-Name's blue color already was the best part!
They both wore their colors on the date, so she obviously decided against it.
But they were immersed in No-Name's blue cool world the entire time.
Yet some pink-purple popped up.
And I got a little nod to the color coding.
So thankfully the third episode was nice and light considering it began with a bloody car crash.
And the only thing I really have to worry about is the blue barriers and bars between them coming from No-Name.
Or at least that's what I thought until Megumi started running INTO THE COLD WATER!!!!
Babygirl, what is happening?!
Quickly coming back to the story of two color-coded girls in love: Megumi, an angel, and her trash girlfriend.
I want to know hy No-Name likes to wait for Megumi where the trash is because this must be telling us something about her and the past she is actively hiding from Megumi.
But I think both of them are living in a prison of their pasts because the show keeps showing them in tight spaces and now behind bars.
The show also emphasizes Megumi superiority to No-Name by making her higher than No-Name.
Even when they are sitting.
But even though they are color-coded,
No-Name keeps wearing Megumi's clothes.
So maybe they have a lot more in common than being prisoners to their past?
lol

Call Me by No-Name Episode 2
First episode of Call Me by No-Name, and I have color-coded girls . . . in a situationship (that has unlocked a new kink).
@avorbl wrote some good thoughts that started my train of thought about the girls' color dynamic, but I want to laser in on the lighting component as well.
Because there is a major barrier between them, and on one side, we have light, and the other side we have darkness.
Megumi is light and represented by warm colors.
No-Name is dark and represented by cool colors.
Megumi is an angel, and No-Name is, well, trash.
However these is a sweet spot on the color wheel involving hues of purple.
And I think that's where these two will reside.
Because right now, Megumi is innocent. She doesn't lie; therefore, there is an emphasis on her light and her entire face.
While Ms. No-Name is all eyes and darkness.
During this scene, her mouth is obscured behind the books several times as she continues to keep secrets about herself. Also, the first name she gave came from a book, One Thousand and One Nights.
But the angel is all face with no secrets to hide.
After Megumi brought No-Name in, she stated it was odd letting a person into her apartment without knowing her name, and No-Name responded that it was more odd that she even let a stranger into her apartment in the first place. Dark vs. Light.
Megumi doesn't even see the danger that No-Name poses with her dark nail polish.
And yet she allows No-Name to sleep in the bed with her only to wake up to her on top of her. She flips the positions, and changes the dynamic. Light on top, dark on bottom.
She leaves the bed and seeks out light in the form of a video game.
While No-Name, after complaining about the light, covers her eyes and fades into darkness.
They are beginning to exist in that purple sweet spot.
When they first kissed, it was a tiny box of light surrounded by darkness.
Because I don't think this is simply a story of Megumi being No-Name's light, but of No-Name seeing the light in herself through her connection with Megumi.
Sweet Megumi let a stranger in her apartment and bed, so No-Name isn't the only one who needs to find a balance within herself.
Therefore I'm thinking we are heading to a Purple Pair not for solely love purposes but because both girls need a bit of light and darkness within themselves.
They gotta find the sweet spot.
