My wife sees a spider scooting across the floor towards the front door and freaks out. I see the spider and observe that it's a mother Wolf spider toting an egg sack. My wife grabs a broom and a paper towel to kill it. I take the towel and herd the spider out the door back to nature. It worked for us and mama spider.

A large number of arachnids are harmless.
