you can’t convince me that one guy was taking out katara, toph, sokka, and zuko. katara and toph are the best benders of their generation in their respective elements. sokka and zuko are both incredibly trained fighters and sokka has been a master strategist since he was 15. can we please be for real here they would not lose to some guy who’s been trapped in ice forever and likely has never been in combat alone against any of these types of fighting styles, especially not all at once.

Something that I think really proves Aang in the newest avatar movie was blinded by grief is when Aang was like “You don’t get it. My people were wiped out. No one gets it” and while that’s technically true he says this to KATARA!

Katara who for a good chunk of her life thought she would live and die as the last waterbender of the southern water tribe. The person who experienced raids that came to KILL her. She genuinely thought she was the last of her kind as well.

And you have the audacity to be like “You couldn’t possibly understand!”

Aang your wife is probably the only person who comes close to understanding.

I love that the ATLA franchise just keeps showcasing how airbending is the most terrifying element and that the Air Nomads were not peaceful due to being weaker but due to seeing it as a moral obligation because of how lethal they knew their element could be in the wrong hands. It just continues to prove what Ozai said to Aang in the finale wrong. And it shows us how strong Aang’s heart and mind are, because he could be a monster, he could easily take lives as revenge, but that wasn’t what his people stood for or how Gyatso raised him

the collective amnesia over sokka actually being pretty grumpy and serious all the time in the show is actually crazy ? why am i seeing people act like he was just some guy who was there to make jokes and keep everyone smiling meanwhile he was running that group like the navy like he used to have schedules planned and he was the only one who ever gaf about food and resources or tried to get a job to feed them 😭 like man you're thinking about AANG 😭
