I watched ‘Obsession’ yesterday and I can’t stop thinking about it. Not because it was a scary horror movie- by all means it was a great horror movie, one of the best ones I’ve seen. But I couldn’t help but be more sad throughout than horrified. Even through the scary scenes and all the jumps I just felt so incredibly sad MORE than scared.

People in the theatre laughing at certain scenes not entirely grasping how fucked up it was and how Nikki really felt will actually haunt me

I almost felt deadpan through some of the horror scenes because all I could do was empathise with Nikki the poor thing.

Amazing movie no doubt, especially because of the emotions it makes you feel as well as how it makes you feel when people only view it as surface level horror and not a film including consent, selfishness and cowardice

I can now say I know a man that now views woman and being with beautiful woman as a form of high status and being top shit with his boys. And I’m fucking baffled because this is someone I knew very well three years ago and was so nice and caring to me. I haven’t spoken to him in three years and find out he’s become an inhumane self absorbed liar narcissist who makes up lies about being with woman and his history of being with certain woman to make himself look good. A liar and a cheater, a man that uses woman and leads them on and lies about what he’s done with certain woman, tarnishing their name.

These kind of men are fricking scary.

Thinking about the Panem fashion before Lucy Grey Baird, bland colours and uniforms.

Then after her the colours and crazy outfits.

Makes me wonder:

Lucy Greys dress was special to her, did the capitol change their clothing like hers out of an appropriation, mimicking something that was special to her and her culture for many years prior and want it? And did snow hate how the Panem fashion changed because of her ?

Or did he encourage the Panem fashion to strip away the meaning of hers? Did he add colour to Panem to make Lucy Grey forgettable.

It’s noted that Snow and his granddaughter remain in those plain clothes regardless of the rest of Panem
