If your suit watch is correct, you should have ran out of air… three weeks ago? The stars drift past and you’re forgetting how you got out here, but your practiced cognitive self-tests tell you that you’re sane. Reality seems to be dissolving the further you drift into space. And now.. music?

Stellar Symphony(part 1) “this is log 21. its been 3 weeks since i had to evacuate my ship- (i forget why i even had to evacuate at all…) but despite my watch readings saying that I’m out of oxygen I’m still alive…. somehow-” the astronaut tilted their head as they meticulously ran their cognitive tests to make sure they were sane. “well- Could be worse things i could have happen to me…” They sighed to themselves before flinching in start as the stars around them slowly began to dim. just then a strange yet familiar sound washed over them, It was the sound of an orchestra tuning? they recognized the tuning sounds yet something felt off, but before they could put a finger on what they snapped back into reality due to a light nudge on their back. The music that greeted them was something they had never heard before with cheers of otherworldly languages and exclamations of excitement from the crew inside rang loud in their head. panicked, they tried to scan their surroundings only to be met with a large archipelagic vehicle that reminded them of an amphitheater but upon further listening and watching they realized it was an alien ship. “Oh my god-” the words were nearly a whisper. the captain waved from the steering wheel, “hey! You seem a bit lost, why don’t you come inside & take a break” Their eyes darted to their watch as it flashed a bright green screen “oxygen refuel detected” the watch stated matter-of-factly “Well? Wouldnt hurt to get my oxygen back after being without it for 3 damn weeks now” they retorted to the watch semi-sarcastically Before glancing back at the captain and smiling almost manically both from relief that their drifting was done and excitement from meeting these alien musicians “Yes please-” they huffed as a rescue line shot out to them and latched gently onto their space suit “hold on tight” the captain said with a cheery disposition “Roger that” they replied with a laugh that resonated in their helmet.

(part 2)

after being pulled into the ship the astronaut's watch beeped 3 times before calling out; "checking vitals, oxygen retrieval innitiated." the hiss of airflow was a welcome sound as other alien crew members moved around them, the captain sat next to them and smiled, "i'm glad we found you... i'm shocked you weren't dead" they said with a slight snicker, "the name's Captain songbird, & this is the Supernova sparkriders!" they gestured with both of their right arms to the rest of the crew who all cheered their greetings. "my name's... Maeve-" they said weakly, still trying to come to after having been without oxygen so long "& yeah... i'm shocked i wasn't dead too..." Mave's mind was racing as they took in more air and watched the sparkriders traverse the ship. "how... the hell did you even find me" Mave asked, slowly regaining her senses as she sat up and grinned before taking off her helmet and breathing deep, finalizing the oxygen regain. "we had traced your Logs to this location while we were soundchecking our stage and 'lo and behold here you were!" Songbird laughed heartily before turning to one of the other sparkriders and saying something that didn't quite sound like words, the other crew member nodded before heading to what Mave could only assume was the kitchen. "what was that?" she asked as she began to wander, songbird's eyes lit up before motioning for her to sit back down "that was just me letting the chef know to make you some food, you look famished." Mave glanced at Songbird before flopping back into the couch that looked out at the stars. "where are you and the crew from cap?" she asked, her intrigue growing by the second. "we're all from the planet Harmony, if you want we could take you back with us." Maeve's eyes lit up in a tsunami of excitement before nodding fast and cheering.

how did Snopping snaturday even originate? I adore it with my whole heart and I’d love to know the backstory of it

not really much lore to it, I just love stupid portmanteaus and randomly thought of the original snopping post one day (and I already had the bunny sneeze clip kicking around because I'd isolated it for a discord soundboard previously). then I reblogged the post later on a saturday and added "it's snopping snaturday, snop to it", and proceeded to reblog THAT version of it nearly every Saturday for uhhh... a couple years now? purely because it was funny to me and not really anybody else? I have to be clear, it was NOT a banger post at first, I basically brute-forced it into doing numbers, it didn't start picking up traction for like... several months at minimum, I'm pretty sure.
