Do you want us all to be silenced?
Politeness has become so uncommon in our society that people often mistake it for flirtation.
Republicans: The confederacy is an important part of our history that should not be forgotten.
Liberals: Confederate statues are a celebration of traitors who literally died to prevent black people from being recognized as full, equal human beings. We do think that those events should never be forgotten and we need thorough education about our past.
Republicans: Oh yea, about that. We want to censor English classrooms, history classrooms, and science classrooms. Specifically you have to stop teaching so much about slavery, our genocide of the Native Americans, our imperialism around the world, and seriously down play the systemic racism and oppression into our recent history. You should purposefully only teach parts of history that are positive and inspire patriotism.

Tips for morning mindfulness
When you wake up, be mindful of how beautiful the weather is outside of your window. Try and admire it regardless of the season - there’s a different beauty in them all.
When you step of out of bed, be aware of how good it actually feels to stretch your body again. Take in a deep breath and feel the air fill your lungs - notice how energising it really is. Repeat as many times as you like.
When you’re washing your face or taking a shower, focus on how calming the water feels against your skin. Notice how clean your skin now feels after cleansing it. Rub your favourite moisturiser or oil into your skin notice how silky smooth your skin is becoming.
Allow yourself to enjoy making your breakfast. Notice how enjoyable it is to put your ingredients together, no matter how many or few you use - creating any meal is an art. Appreciate how it looks and appreciate how it smells. As you take each bite, pay attention to the flavours and textures.
Before you leave the house, have a personal conversation with yourself. Think of at least three things you are grateful for this morning. Allow yourself to feel a warmth inside of you as you focus on each thing you are grateful for.

browse the news headlines ( & read the articles that interest you when you’ve got time)
wear something you feel b o m b in
listen to music while doing your daily activities-commuting, cleaning, cooking, exercising
smile at at least two people
smile at YOURSELF
call or message someone you love
eat food that makes you feel radiant
make lists of things you need to accomplish for the day
stretch for 10 minutes
record in your phone the positive thoughts you have so you can remember them
carry water with you (always always always)
shut off your phone for an hour and have some ME time
take a hot shower or bath at the end of a stressful day
try to make plans to spend time with someone at least once a week
think about 3 things you are grateful for at the end of each day
do something calming, relaxing, and non-electronic 30 minutes before you sleep
