I just sat here legitimately speechless for a good while because I just.......you're so lovely?
I've not been very active the last few years (decided to go to Uni and study science) but I still think about the Drarry fandom on a near daily basis.
When I started this blog I was also reading a fic (or more) a day. I was going through a really hard time in life and honestly, Drarry, fanfiction, and the people that I met through fandom where such a key part of helping me get through it. Truly.
Fanfiction changed my life for the better in a lot of ways. It gave me an outlet, an escape and also helped me work through some stuff in a kind of indirect way.
Okay, I'm feeling g a bit emotional now, haha. It just makes me feel so happy that my rec lists have positively impacted your life in some way, especially because every one of those fics had helped me in some way or another as well when I needed it the most.
I don't know what you're going through or have been through, but I sincerely hope that the child-like happiness you've found stays with you always ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me find a drarry fic I read a while ago, I looked through my ao3 history and couldn't find it... I don't remember much but it was something about harry or draco showing the other this hidden magical world somehere in london I think? It was like a garden with lots of beautiful scenery and creatures and they decided to meet each other there everyday until something like happened and the other had to go searching. It was a bit similar to Illuminate but like totally different plots. It's all good if you don't know it or don't reply! I love your blog and writing! xx

Is it just me who goes absolutely soft when Draco removes Harry’s glasses and they’re staring at each other sharing this moment of trust where Draco is just like “I can’t believe he let me do that” and Harry is just like “I trust him” or when Harry removes his own glasses and ahhh idk it just makes me so soft when there’s moments in fics. I love it too when Draco himself wears glasses and Harry is just like “you’re such a hypocrite Malfoy” hahaha. I need more glasses fics! Would love some recs:D

Chuck Tingle has more or less become a meme because of his bizarre titles and covers and because of the Hugo fiasco, but I’ve heard relatively little about what it’s like to actually read his work and I frankly have no idea what to expect or if I should go into this with expectations at all
This book is…surprisingly easy to take seriously as a book. I don’t know what I’m trying to say. But it’s like. A Book and not just an extended joke. Like on some level it’s not particularly terribly written nor does the plot like, completely exist in service to the…whatever humor is derived from the self-aware absurdity of the premise

As much as I love skillfully crafted satire that takes deft jabs at the flaws of the thing it’s lampooning, there’s also something charming about how every character in this book has a name blatantly and hilariously derived from a Harry Potter character regardless of how most of their roles in the story barely resemble anything like characters in Harry Potter.

I literally have no idea how to describe what I’m experiencing right now. Like this is a somewhat poorly edited parody adult dinosaur romance novel but. It’s genuinely?? Creative?? In a lot of ways???? And there’s a lot of heart to it, a lot of genuine powerful messages about identity and about art and creativity and the fourth-wall-breaking device is…I can’t explain it because that would spoil it but it’s actually pulled off so well?????
This is not like, a humorous joke story this guy did for Being a Little Shit and Spite reasons, it’s like actually in its themes and message a genuine “fuck you” to j.k. Hi, this is very random but I'm actually writing a dissertation on Harry Potter Fanfiction and I'm looking for the 'big' fics, i.e. fics that lots of people in the fandom read - the most popular/famous ones that might even have their own sub-fandom (All The Young Dudes for example). Do you know of any Drarry ones like this? Thanks in advance!

Scorpius is staring back at him, in wait of something new to learn, a beautiful and intelligent child. He has Draco's mind. He has Draco's eyes and nose and mouth and hair. He is his. All his. All he has of Michael are his wild curls and the green of his eyes, and sometimes he looks into them and imagines that they aren't Michael's, but someone else's.
Draco leans his head closer, biting the quiver out of his lips before he breathes a laden and shuddering exhale, and he whispers, "You are my star in a big black sky."

Harry nods. "Somebody's given it to Malfoy." He remembers the tattered remains of a black cloak wrapped around Malfoy. "I think it might have been Professor Snape."
They take a minute to process that.
"And... the cure?" Ron asks.
"Tears of anyone the experiencer craves love of," Hermione answers.

Because things don’t really change, do they? And if Harry can’t be happy, he’ll settle for a good night’s sleep, some posh antiques, and the opportunity to find out what Malfoy has been up to for all these years.
