But you know, that scene between Jack and Sawyer where Sawyer tells Jack about having met his dad, and what his dad said, is so freaking awesome, it should really be in the Awesome Scenes Hall of Fame. I could…almost ship it.
One of the best things Lost did in its first season was build layers upon characters that started out as sketches. Everyone built to the moment they got on that plane. And GOD how heartbreaking is that flashback with Locke and his totally evil bastard of a kidney-stealing father? GOD.
And I remember when it first aired, observant viewers got a clue as to what was in store regarding the Tailies - because you don’t hire Michelle Rodriguez to do one scene in a bar with Jack pre-crash. Since we hadn’t seen her yet on the island, it was reasonable to think we would in the future.
I also recall that when Charlie and Sayid find Rousseau with the baby by the giant torch, and she kept saying that she’d heard the Others whisper that they were coming for “the boy” my watching buddies and I all kind of flipped and started shrieking HOLY SHIT THEY MEANT WALT. Which was verified like ten minutes later, but you know. We felt smart for a few minutes.
Jorge Garcia’s endless variations on the “dude, seriously?” reaction, be it in words or expressions, are priceless.
Sun and Jin made me cry. Again.
I’ve wondered how close Naveen’s Sayid-accent is to an actual Iraqi accent. Out of character he just sounds pretty much like Martin Freeman.
This time around I am kind of bored with Kate and Claire and I love Sun and Shannon.
Oh and by the way. I have found something hotter than Naveen Andrews in Lost (I know, hard to believe), seen here:
