I am not the biggest fan of Kayne West but granted he has taken the simple ankle boot up a notch and really pushed the sock boot through to this A/W essentials wish list. I’ve been working on building my A/W capsule wardrobe and one of the main pieces I’ve been looking for is the perfect sock boot. They look amazing with straight style jeans, dresses; smartening up every outfit.
Here’s a few of my favourites I have found on the high street:
Topshop have released a gorgeous pair called ‘Million’ for £79.00 but they are quite hard to get your hands on. I personally didn’t like the high heel on these as I didn’t think I would get enough wear from them but if you don’t shy away from heels then these are a great option for you.

Topshop have restocked these today in both the classic black and nude so grab them quick they will definitely sell out.
I always keep an eye on Marks & Spencer’s, they tend to have some nice minimalist pieces that are good quality and a great way to build up your basics. This A/W’s collection was no exception they have two great pairs both with two colour options.

I went for the first style as the heel is quite comfortable so I can run around day-to-day in them, and also they are reasonably priced too at £35.00!. You can pick between the Navy of Black colours, I would have loved the navy but I’m trying to minimise purchases and its the classic ‘black goes with everything’ scenario for me.
The second option are a good compromise they aren’t to high and 100% real leather so will age well (Quite expensive at £85.00 though). These aren’t called sock boots on the site but they stretch around the ankle tightly so are more similar to Topshop version of the sock boot.
